Hi all, my mum is a photographer and she has had her photos stolen before & her watermark cut off. Her good friend is one of the top photographers in the world and he said this happens alot to his works. Seeking compensation IS important and name & shame if it doesn't end well. It is VERY frustrating when a photographer & client put in so much time and effort for a shoot just to have someone else steal the product. Especially when they use the image for financial gain without permission or stoop so low as to put their own watermark on the image.....sigh
My shoots have a big, almost transparent watermark right across the middle (this acts as a deterrant and makes it harder to edit out in p.shop) and items uploaded to websites, f.book ect are not the full quality.
You get them Crystal! This has happened to me 7 times this year alone! You and your photographer deserve to be compensated for the commercial use of your work.
So has anyone with a June delivery date actually received their tail? Getting a little concerned as I am now starting my 16th month since I ordered. I have gotten a couple emails stating they were about to start and would send pictures but that was 4 weeks ago. Nothing since then.....
I highly doubt it.
I know one here who was supposed to get his tail in June but the twins got late on schedule. I hope everything worked out since then.
16 months for yours is a long time though. How come they didn't start it yet??
I was promised I would have my tail by the end of August. I'm really hoping that's the case. Hmm. I wonder what set them so far back?
Their collaboration with Hannah has set them back a bit (9 days straight of photoshoots) as well as their friend Allie coming for the summer, they have set tail making days and set vacation days for Allie, since while she was there last time she didn't get to enjoy Hawaii much at all due to making so many tails for merfest:)
They said they were working on the new fluke back last July and that is supposedly done.
When they reset the schedule I was to go in April but told them to take their time as I did not really need it til July.
This past May they were working on making the individual scales, then asked to confirm my measurements in June as they were cutting material and would have pictures that week.
So far nothing. I am guessing they got wrapped up with Hannah's tail for June.
The Hawaii meet up between the twins and sea through see productions has been putting everything all over the place as well. Its next week, I'm terribly excited but I can imagine how frustrating everything has been for everyone waiting :S
We have so many mers with Finfolk tails here, but only two reviews?

One word of advice for you : be VERY careful with your dorsal because of the V cuts between each fin. It can be ripped easily if one does not pay attention.
I learned it from experience with my first tail, the blue one with the flowy dorsal.
