If you have a competitor it's super hard, especially since Raven's fluke's extend well past the monofin. And the entire thing is stiff. I dont think people fully appreciate how tricky it can be. I was never able to find something I could buy to fit it, so I had a local mermaid friend Sephina (who is also on here) make me a custom one :)

For the mers who own a merbella's tail with competitor monofin in it: what monofin size do you have? Last 2 days i've had nightmares About the monofin being to small. And if so, are there any tips to make a proper fit?
What's your foot size Vicky? I don't have a Merbellas, but I do have a Finfolk with a competitor. I got the smallest size available (medium) and it's just right for my size 5 1/2 feet... with a thick pair of neoprene boots on ;D
I'm a 8-9 AU with wide feet and I fit a medium too haha, it's a great fit for just my feet but I'm getting a large because it's just a little bit tight with neoprene socks on. If unsure I'd say always go a size bigger, check the finis website and they have a sizing chart which I've found to be pretty accurate. If you're at the bottom of a size stay in that size but if you're at the end or even in the middle I'd say go up because you can always wear a few pairs of neoprene socks (I believe that's what Iona does because her monofin is very big for her) but if it's too small then there isn't a whole lot you can do asside from messaging raven and seeing if it's possible to get the whole fluke or monofin replaced

I told her my size. In EU my size is 43. I find it very difficult to find the exact size in US because every website is telling me something else. I believe she put in the Large size monofin
You should be fine with a large. According the the competitor size charts, a large is a women's 11.5-14, which is pretty big. Most women have smaller feet than that. I think a 43 is around a 10. Worst case scenario you have to wear some booties to pad it out a bit.
According to the converter I usually use a 43 is a womens 12, so a large should fit well.

Pretty sure the "New One" is a one-off design for the Moon Koi tail auction she's planning, I'm not so certain that it's going to be one of those shapes you can order from her normally. :P I might be wrong, though!

She-Creature! That's Raven's personal fluke, which as far as I know isn't available to order.

Kishiko my first tail is one of Raven's early neoprene-lined ones, and it's held up so well! But its time for a new tail to add to the itinerary and I'd look nowhere else but Merbellas! :D

yup and it was intended as a perk for returning customers. Something loads of businesses do. As soon as I got the email I figured someone would post it -_- nothing to do with what's available to the public. special thank you offerings for return clients for continued business.

Well even if now it's public other people don't know the exact content of the mail and I suppose that Raven will take the orders only from those who received the mail.
It's like a special party where only who is an affectionate customer has the invitation and can enter ;)
I perfectly understand Raven and why she did it (she's always so kind and pays attention to other's feelings <3 ) and I get what you mean Raina but we can always try to see it from another point of view: Merbellas loves it's affectionate costumers and gives them something back.
So now all the people are more motivated to order again from Merbellas ;)

That's pretty much what I said. Its a perk. I'm just disappointed it was posted publicly after the email asked us not to. They wanted to do something to thank client loyalty but didn't want any feelings hurt in the process hence email instead of a public post.
I'm a returning customer and I didn't get one, so maybe it was just for certain people or something like that :)
I got one but I don't know why you didn't selene. Maybe it was only people who have bought tops in past? But I really don't know
I ordered a top with my new tail but maybe you're right and it was only people who've ordered tops specifically in the past. It doesn't matter either way really, it's Raven's choice :)Quote:
