Okay guys. I'm freaking out. It's been just a tiny bit over 200 days for me now... and I'm suddenly questioning my colours... again... I guess I'm just very afraid that my colour scheme is too boring or that maybe it will get drowned out by the blues and greens of the water when I go swimming. I'm to the point here I'm thinking of maybe just re doing the whole colour scheme. Any opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Personally I think those colors are stunning, and I love your design. If you're worried that it might now show up underwater, I'd second Kelda's idea about silver highlighting. I saw a picture of a shark once that was a dark blue grey but had the most amazing light, silvery-blue edging along the edge of its fluke. It was gorgeous. I'll try to find the picture for you.
Aurellia Gyldenscale is a treasure mermaid so I figured her main color should be gold. Aurellia means golden and Gylden means golden so gold for *all the things!*

I concur that Selene's tail looks cool; it has a realistic feel which is different from us outlandish dragon-types, and this realism would not be hurt by silver highlights! :mermaid kiss:

I love the colors you chose. Don't second guess yourself. I agree with everyone who has said that silver highlights and fin-tipping would complement the color scheme beautifully.

Heel/ankle fins do draw attention away from the waist and toward the fluke, and mergirl you have made them POP! Yours is a unique shape that also looks very natural for a fish. Congratulations! :mermaid kiss:

Thank you Michelle! I spent a good while deciding the fins. I designed a few, but really liked these ones. I was actually starting to panic that no one would like them. I know it's silly, but I guess everyone has a freak out moment.Quote:
