Argghhhh :\ I won't lie, I was frustrated when I saw that starfish one today. That's what I was planning on doing this summer when I try to make silicone tops.... Basically the same design too :\ I guess back to the drawing board.
You can still make your own! There are so many different types of starfish, and really, that's one of the first ones I've seen.
Yeah maybe >< I was really excited and wasn't saying anything because I wanted it to be a big surprise/I didn't want anyone to take my idea. But I mean it's not "original" Mermaids have had starfish bras forever xD Raven just beat me to the punch. And I don't want to seem like I'm "copying" her ><
I don't think anyone will think you're copying her--like you've said, the idea of them has been around a while, it's just that there have been some things in the way of making them (such as how real starfish will destroy in water). I really think you should try a starfish top--I'd really love to see more of them!

Trust me Blondie- Raven ends up beating a lot of people to the punch hahaha XD I dont know how many people I've known who had a particular tail colour pattern in mind and hadn't said anything, only to see Raven whip it up! I think she's just always experimenting and trying new things.
So, what are the noticable differences between the 1,000 tail and the 3,000? I'm still not sure. I'd probably, if lucky, only be able to save up for the 1,000 and I was curious as to what I'd be missing out on.
Basically the only noticeable difference is the fluke.
Aside from the neoprene and lack of extra fins, the basic tail is also lighter and you cannot get the Merbella scales on them. :)

Okay, pics are coming when I'm a bit less exhausted.
My first thoughts: The thing is GORGEOUS! It's so heavy, though, and I'm weak. ;-P Also, either I'm putting it on wrong or I ordered it short, or my butt and thighs are too big now to fit well (I've gained weight since ordering). It's coming up nice and highish on the front, but barely covering the butt in back. And yes, I was trying it on dry. :-S *nervous*

Try it on wet. I felt the same way when I got my fish butt. I was like "Really... I know I haven't grown." I gained some weight but I couldn't believe that was the problem. So I tried it on in the water with conditioner and it slid up much more. It sometimes just needs that lubrication to really set into place. Worst comes to worst. Raven will add more to it. And the quick fix for now can be a belt.

Try it on wet. Maybe the materials will stretch out. I've noticed that when I am out of the water my swimsuit is very tight on me, but when I'm in the water, it fits perfectly. I hope the same works for you.Quote:

Yeah, when I first got mine, I wasn't sure it fit either because it was so freaking hard to get on. I was literally almost in tears because I couldn't do it. And well, once I got the hang of it, and once I actually put it on wet which is a gajillion times easier.... well you've seen my tail it comes up to my boobs LOL. And, if it's the unthinkable, and it really doesn't come up high enough once you have it all on... Raven can fix that :) I believe both my silicone tails have a little bit of extra added on at the top, you can't see a seam on either of them, or tell unless they're inside out!Quote:

Hey guys just out of curiosity how long did it take to pay for shipping and have the tail shipped after you got pics? Also, when you put your tail on wet do you guys mean underwater or just with you and it kind of wet?

it's easier to get it on IN the water, but so long as you + the tail are very wet it's still easy too. Much easier than the lube up your legs with cream and try to slide in way, and it's pretty much impossible to put it on without water or cream.
