I know from experience that finfolk fins are thick enough to add a good amount of weight and drag. I don't personally mind because I'm a strong swimmer, but I would suggest either not getting a lot of fins or upgrading to a competitor monofin if you're worried about the drag.
Yeah, it's one of the reasons I'm torn on whether or not I would ever actually get a tail from FF or not. I'm not the strongest swimmer yet and I sink really easily-- mix that with the gradually-getting-better anxiety trigger of being fully submerged underwater and fear of drowning and I get a liiittle nervous at the thought. It's one of the reasons why I opted for neoprene for my first tail; I like the added buoyancy.Quote:

You could likely as for thinner fins, coupled with a competitor fin. But yeah, definitely be sure in your swimming before getting ANY silicone tail.Quote:

I wish I had listened to the twins' advice. This has done me well for all of the wide ocean stuff I do, but now I'm doing more aquarium and tank work I also need something more versatile. The trainer is on the more versatile side. And I barely noticed and difference in power. I do have much fewer fins than you! They are much smaller too!

I own two tails from FF and one has the competitor while the other has the trainer. I'm more in love with the one who got the trainer because the swimming is easier and more comfortable. I do more pool swimming in Paris than ocean swimming so I guess the feeling of comfort kind of makes sense :)
Yeah, if you're anxious about putting your head under water, scuba is probably not a good idea--not until you've conquered the anxiety. I've seen strong swimmers with no anxiety freak out when they tried to breathe under water.Quote:
