I cant remember if this is the redesign for her classic merbellas tail or redesign for her original splash. I know she told me she was redoing them to update them
Raven also told me that she makes it so flukes can be altered slightly, like the mantis shrimp and Raina's flukes are both classified as the 'calypso' fluke according to her. So there is a good chance this is just a classic/newer merbella fluke (at least the markings look like the merbella to me) that has been slightly modified for the client :)

Last I heard she'd broken her computer and was working off Tyler's, maybe they don't have the watermark there? But yeah, it is odd that there isn't even a "Merbella Studios Inc" just written somewhere on the picture :/ Also, I love that gif ^_^Quote:

A lot of the tail designs she's been working on for clients right now are complicated designs. and sometimes she has to repaint them to match more closely to what the client wants. Just takes a while. We caught up and she told me she constructs and paints all day, then sketches and sculpts til she falls asleep lol

Well, the waist does look a bit different from the standard mermaid tail. I shall then state that the colouration and pattern do have something of a masculine -almost tigerlike- quality to them, so I can see it as a merman tail now that you mention it!
So happy for Jax. I hear the monofin in his mertailor tail snapped. No fun swimming with a broken monofin! He'll look great in this!
