Not trying to be a pain in the butt, but since you teach kids about sea stuff, maybe you should know that cetaceans do not have legs and knee bones. They have vestigial pelvis bones, but that is all. They do have the "hand" and "fingers" bones, but not the equivalent to legs.Quote:

I first learned about it through Dalhousie University presenting a study on local baleen whales here in NS. One of the leading researchers for marine biology- back when I was a kid during a spring break camp. Though I guess it stuck in my head that it's "all whales" as opposed to "some whales" . I think the kids I teach will be okay. Since I'm merely replying to an idiot youtuber, and not teaching a class on whale anatomy.

Whales are NOT the original Leviathan.
People just assumed that because they figured it had to be the largest animal in the ocean.
The real Leviathan has scales and can spit fire (or a burning substance. Acid, venom perhaps).
It's clearly an extinct species. Probably related to dragons.
For anyone interested in myths, there is a good documentary on youtube somewhere regarding the mention of dinosaurs in the bible.
They were not called dinosaurs of course, because the word was invented some hundred years ago only, but the bible speaks of now extinct creatures and proceeds to describe them in detail, and I tend to agree that they are describing some dinosaurs.
Behemoth, for example, is the highly accurate description of some sauropod.
