This might sound stupid, but I almost cried seeing that tail. My dream tail will definitely be peacock inspired since I breed peacocks and I am the magazine editor for an association's peacock magazine, and that design is a bit like what I have had in mind - much more so than other peacock inspired tails I have seen. That is one lucky mer who is getting that tail...WOW!!! :drool:
Seeing Finfolk do such a wonderful job on a peacock tail like this makes it even harder for me to decide what tailmaker I will go with in the future!
I don't think it would look very good on me but I could see this looking stellar on a black mermaid. I mean, am I right? Haha don't you think that purple would just pop so nicely?
I hope whoever gets it is super happy with it. look at all the work that went into that! true artistry!
I was thinking the same thing, that lime green might wash out a fair skinned mer but it would look amazing on someone with darker skin.
I know the recipient of the tail is definitely more fair skinned though so I look forward to when she finally posts pictures in it.
And Alea, that doesn't sound stupid at all. Honestly I think it sounds really beautiful that you're so passionate about something. Finfolk makes amazing art and it's awesome that this one really spoke to you.

I'm pretty fair skinned, and when I wear super bright colors such as that lime green, or neon colors, it makes my skin tone seem warmer or richer (for lack of a better term). Especially if I've gotten *any sun* at all. It's the super dark or 'dusty' shades (like sage green/mauve/grey-blues) that tend to wash out lighter skin tones. The blah shades with no pop.
Maybe it's why super neon swimsuits were all the rage in the 80s; they made the wearer seem all the more tanned.

I know the mer who is getting that tail. It has been a long time in the making for her, from conception to deposit to production. She is fair and she is going to look gorgeous in it trust me!
