I hope someday we can all arrange something like that. I have the same problem with making friends locally.
And I'm hoping he fixes the problem. It's my first house, and it has enough room to have a family in. And enough land to keep my horses.

He'd better fix the problem.
To merman Arion- no they didn't, I'm not really one to ask people why they can't go though, because I feel like it would be their buissness, but if they can't make time for my party then maybe I should find some new friends. And thank you all for the support, (I knew it was a cool idea)

I am pretty sure I majorly botched my interview today. By like 5 questions. One of the questions I actually answered "to be honest I don't know"
smh. Why did I say that. Why. Thankfully I salvaged it and bounced back but the rest of the questions were very job specific...
And now I have fallen ill.
Ouch. I hope it works out anyway!
Thanks Sabrina :( I hope so too.
they called me yesterday at around 1 o'clock so I only had 24 hours to prep :(
and then one of the interview questions I ended up plugging in the mermaiding because I had to show the ability to describe an activity and educate / "train"... Granted she said it didn't have to be specifically work related but... :sigh: the question was "describe something about one of your hobbies that I might not know about." I mean it was pretty great but I was not ok with how I answered my questions.
Well, maybe THEY liked what you had to say, even if you aren't quite so pleased with it. My boss certainly doesn't mind my mermaiding.
Oh I'm not upset about the mermaiding they thought it was quite awesome (yes they, there was three people interviewing me)
it was more so the way I answered the other questions and how I had to continually tie back to my previous work experience and education... And they asked me if I knew anything about so and so.
Ahhhh. Gotcha.
Either way, you're pretty likeable. I'm sure it practically screamed 'good choice of employee'
:P doesn't help in the first person to be interviewed. They received a BUNCH of applications so there's bound to be someone more qualified than I am.
Here is a hug. And a well-wish. And a green candle on my windowsill tonight.
Thank you Sabrina <3
here are hugs back and gratitude :hugs:
I'll light a candle for you as well when I get home from the office and sending good energy your way.
My mer people are lighting candles for me ;-; I love you guys.
Us merfolk gotta stick together. The human world is dark and full of terrors....
Oh yeah!
Ok, you know what really grinds my gears? People who give out information when they aren't qualified to do so, especially regarding the mermaid community.
I was recently invited to yet another Florida Mermaids fb group recently, and most of the girls there didn't have tails. No big deal. However, when they asked about where to start, there was an overwhelming response suggesting that they start with Mertailor basic or partial silicone tails. What bothers me most about this is not just that a handful of people suggested that some newbies invest in a bad product/company, but that some of the girls said that they haven't ever used a monofin yet and aren't good at swimming. I wouldn't even suggest getting a fabric tail until they have gotten used to the monofin, nonetheless a partial silicone/neoprin tail with no drainage.
Wooooow. That's really irresponsible advice.
I ended up leaving the group, because people kept posting stupid things like that so often without looking up the facts. That, and a complete spam of crochet mermaid tail posts, "I must be a mermaid blah blah blah" posts, and pictures of Mermaid Melissa. I think these girls are more mermaid enthusiasts than professionals. And that's okay- but it's not for me. I have enough of that in my newsfeed already.
I initially joined the group hoping to find more professional mers anyways.
Holy shit! I think we just had an earthquake!
You okay??
Are you ok????
No reports of earthquake today, but we've had gusts of over 60mph! My lake looks like rough oceans!
Wow. Well, at least the lake is pretty!
Sunday we went to trade my black and white paint horse for a big black percheron friesian cross. Got him home Sunday night, put him in the front lot by himself.
My little sister's horse kicks him through the fence and cuts him with her shoes. 😡😡
So I go up Monday morning and see that he has a big gash in his back right theigh.
(I told her I'm gonna BBQ her horse because of it, joking of course)
Anyway, been doctoring it, cleaning it, and this morning he was limping on it Because of bruising. Go figure.
My dad says, call the vet. And see if he can get some antibiotics strong enough for him because he's so big.
$40 for wound spray, and $40 for Apple flavored powder antibiotics to mix in with his feed.
He
Won't
Eat
The
Feed
Now
I could scream right now, he's too smart for his own good. 😤
Ouch. That actually sucks.
Does that mean that the house issue is resolved?
I had to re-sit a test today because most of the people in my class failed. I did pretty decent but I'm a little irritated that I had to re-sit a test that I did not fail in. :( What a lovely way to end the school term. I only have one more day though.
That sounds really annoying

That does seem unfair. I really hope you get a much higher mark this time.
We had a similar situation at uni. I was one of the few that passed a certain exam. Everyone who failed got the chance to resit, but there grade was limited because it was a 2nd attempt. That meant they couldn't end up with a higher mark than someone who passed first time, which seems the fairest way to me.
I lost a good friend yesterday in a tragic accident. Hug your friends and family. Don't worry about the small stuff. In the end, it doesn't really matter.
Hugs to YOU Sherielle. :(
