Thanks Freshwater...I was kinda figuring on about 200$.
And Winged, I am glad I'm not alone in the "draft and stalk" technique...I hope it works as well for me as it did you! :)
My tail ships tomorrow! SO excited :)
Yay for you! So exciting! :)
So, Raven's been stuck with the rain, which is making the curing process take forever -_- So she got some promo shots in one of her tails and did these very pretty photos:

I literally just saw that! Same reporter that they sent out to BARF last year, haha. Raven is just fantastic. I love her new tail, too. <3
That interview was so cute! I love it when Raven plays all flirty. It's adorable! And those shots are absolutely gorgeous, Tyler has an amazing gift with the camera.
In other news my tail's being shipped out tomorrow! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! <3
WOO! So excited. <3
Gorgeous tails :)
Oh what a super cute video! And yaaaaay tails are getting shipped is good news! I still have 28 days to go 0_o
I know what Raven means about the rain, holy carp...it's been raining for four days pretty much now where I am (central Florida~) and it's crazy! So many puddles and it's freezing cold out, too. For Floridian weather anyway ahha
I second that Emma xD I'm in North Florida and it has been flooding like crazy. I swear, it won't rain in Florida for weeks then all of the sudden you need to call up Noah to borrow his arc. It's insane..
Most people I know call Florida the bipolar state. One day it was raining, hot then raining again
Sounds like my state
South Carolina's weather is always like that
omg i'm so excited to see this tails in the water
i hope my mermaidtail-project is successful, then i will buy a merbella tail *crosses fins* ;)
Im possitive someone has already answered this but i cant find it so i figured i would just ask again. my birthday is coming up and i have been begging for money so i could buy one of ravens tops. But i cant find how, does and one know?
How to what? Buy a top? Either you buy it on Etsy or if it's custom, you email her.
I ordered mine through email. Then she creates a special listing for you on etsy. :)
you think Florida is bi-polar weather wise? in my province the motto is "If you don't like the weather, wait 15 minutes." you can experience all 4 seasons in an hour and it's so true, haha
I bet so! Pretty sure everywhere has pretty bipolar weather nowadays (if it didn't always :P).
Oh< thanks, ill try to email her. also, does any one know how much they cost? just so i know how much i need to save...
Depends COMPLETELY on the top. I'd say anywhere from $90-$500 depending on a lot. Scale tops are a lot less I think than seaweed/octo/other tops, and shell tops are middle ground? Those all are just guesses.
If I'm not mistaken... scale tops are around 90-110. Shell tops are 120 - 160 and Seaweed tops are around 200 if I'm not mistaken. :) But it's all general stats, she can give you a more specific quote of course!
Octo are $300. http://www.etsy.com/shop/MerBellaStudios
It's pretty empty currently haha but I'm sure once she's caught up she'll list more.
Yay!!!! Does any one know if she can put a tiny bit of sea weed on her scale tops?
She recently posted that one on her page, so I'm not sure. Ask, I suppose!
I think I remember that her seaweed tops are around $220. That's without additional embellishments like crystals or pearls though.
I want to see Thalassa in her tail! O:
Right??? Thalassa, you got us all hook line and sinker waiting for video and/or pics!!
I saw her! At a ren faire. Her tail is so pretty and looks really good on her
I want to see Thalassa sooo bad too! PICTURES. D:
Does anyone know when u get updates on your tail? I'm getting a bit worried now :( Still haven't got the chance to incrase my tail (lost 2 kg after I ordered my tail in February) I haven't heard from Raven since.
I'm worried my tail wil be to big around my waist and belly..And I don't want to spend extra money on a wast bend.
any help guys??
Thanks <3
Oh, REALLY?! I wish you'd come up and introduced yourself. Gosh, I'm tired.
Okay, we have the good, bad and ugly. Not really. BUT I don't have time at the moment to write a full review, so I'll let y'all know what's going on.
The good: The tail is GORGEOUS! The fluke is so nice (HEAVY, but such a nice solid fluke...now I just need to hone my ankles), and it's just all so pretty! What looks like gold in the pictures is actually a beautiful copper color.
The bad: Somehow between my measurements or fluctuating weight or something, my tail ended up not quite fitting over my derrière (butt). It still fits MOSTLY, but it's not as high as I like most of my tails to come. It'd be fine if I liked my tails low like some mers. So I have a couple of options I'm exploring which include losing weight, wearing spanks (sp?), wearing a big belt to hide the gap, eventually sending it back to Raven to add a bit on the waist, etc.
The ugly: As others have mentioned, these tails are HARD to get into. I still haven't tried it on wet, because between work and Ren Faire obligations (and a pool that took 3 almighty DAYS to fill) I haven't had time. That's also the reason I have no pictures (although I know some people took some when the mermaids were riding around in pirate ships, so I'll have to see if I can get hold of some. The solid fluke is also really heavy, and unless you have ankles of steel don't expect to be able to flop it right away. If you want to flap it, roll over on your stomach and do it...be careful that you don't hit nearby people in the head (Sorry, Koral!). I'm also a bit worried about being able to upkeep the tail, because I'm a worrier and rather clumsy (LOL), but that's a worry for another day.
So. Gorgeous tail, a couple of problems that I look forward to fixing, review to come as soon as I can try it on wet. <3
^ Awesome!!
