Lol thanks its just a bikini top from Walmart.
One of three tops I'm in process on right now. I figure being nude and glittery it can go with either of my tails :) Attachment 38220
Stella I need that haha
It matches my sequin tail!Attachment 38235

Stella : love the mesh/tulle material as the straps! And the sparkles! And the lace! So pretty!
Tami: loving the sequins. Also like how you tied it as a keyhole neck
Thanks everyone

I'm a bit of a mermaiding newby here, but I purchased an Ariel-inspired swimsuit from Etsy that goes pretty well with my tails!Attachment 38385

*emerges from lurking* It's here!!
As an early Christmas gift I ordered my scale bra from Mernation early <3
I had them recreate my personal painted bra that I'd made- which I think might be one of the more detailed top designs they've had to work on?
It's so pretty. I've never seen any silicone mermaid gear in person- so this has been surreal ;3;

This is my first and only top ive ever made. I have no artistic talent AT ALL, so id say i did a pretty good job :) Some of the pearls and foliage keeps coming off though. Not sure how to keep everything on there. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...0da3a3d897.jpg

That's a gorgeous first bra! :D It definitely looks a lot better than my first one, that's for sure.
What's the adhesive you're using for the pearls? If it's not e6000 then trying that might help you out some. It's held up pretty well for me- but some decoration loss tends to be common even with e6000 since it's sometimes hard to tell how much adhesive to use for each detail.
Awhh thank you so much!! Yeah i used e6000 for most of it, and a hot glue gun for some stuff. Its held up pretty well, but i think most of the loss is just from normal wear and tear. Plus i dont think i glued down the fake leaves very well in the first place, but overall its held up quite nicely! It definitally took a few trial and errors before i was able to have a bra that didnt pop off from the weight of the shells!

The little dangly thingy in the center is flipped. It's really pretty and can be seen on other pictures. Lol
My first swimable top! I may have overdone it on the rhinestones though! Couldn't resist the sparkle!http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...3aab8aa909.jpg

Nonsense there is no such thing as too many rhinestones. :p I love the sparkle and it looks like a very good bra base as well. ;)
Nice top!
I made this beauty over the summer, it's a little tight, but it functions well and I can break it in a bit more so hey. Not too heavy Took me about 5 days because of the glue.
Attachment 38864
And no you can't have too many sequins. :P
I am a 38H, so no shells for me! Regular bra bases are also super expensive in this size, so I can't exactly just get one to play with when I don't even have one for proper wear yet!
Moving right along, I bought a $5 sports bra and painted it with the same Lumieres that I'll be using for my tail. I am horrible at painting and I've never done this before, so I'd say it's a pretty bang-up job for being done in an hour.

Hot.
Mermaid tail in progress here.
For some reason that top reminded me of Princess Zelda from Legend of Zelda. Like if Zelda was a mermaid this is what she would wear.
A parent asked I wear a modest top for her daughters birthday so I made one! http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...d6191ac2e8.jpg

I started the work on mine today, as I finally found a base bra that fits!!! The seashells aren't exact (they're just placed on as example of my vision) and I still have quite a bit of seaweed to add. Then I'll be blinging it up with pearl beads!
Here's my first top!! The shells are real!!
