I shared this on Facebook today, but I thought I'd post here too since it's somewhat related to this thread.
I recently started making a list of everything that I need to pack for MerMania so that I don't forget anything. Then I had a nightmare last night that I boarded my plane and literally forgot everything. I showed up with a bottle of water and that's it. No tail, no toiletries, no underpants, nothing!
I also dreamed that my layover was in Minneapolis, and that I somehow got off the plane to explore the city. Every person in the city rode bikes and looked like a Dr Seuss character. Even the houses were Seussian. And then I went to a mall that was completely made of ice and ice skated around trying to purchase all the things that I forgot to bring. That part was pretty rad.
The other night I dreamt my little brother (deceased) and I were at the lake and he splashing around in an American flag inspired mermaid tail that apparently belonged to me lol. He was standing in it and I was yelling at him. He was like "look at me I'm a mermaid!" Like a typical goofy teenager. I woke up, sketched the tail, and decided that was the tail I absolutely have to make. Bittersweet dream, but a good one.
I've had a dream where I had a fabric tail that like... Was just a waistband, side seams, and fluke. The fabric was cut away over my legs. I think that's the mer-equivalent of the going to school/work without pants dream.

Last night the dream I had was odd. Most of the time when I dream about being underwater, I'm not actually a merman. But rather I have fins grown on the back of my fore arms and calves. I was walking along the sea floor when I came upon a village of merfolk. Well as I enter the village several swum up to me and tell me that they don't trust anyone who walks and I need to leave. Well I explain I needed some supplies and they back off slightly allowing me to buy a few things. Well as I leave someone throws a spear at me and it nearly hits my foot. I woke up shortly afterwords.
