Amazing job Anceos! You can't see a seam at all and it isn't even painted! Very tedious work I know!!!
Thanks i try to be patient and do my best
I am thinking of using the same monofin for my mermaid tails as how did you hit the fluke to the monofin? Thank you
well i drilled arround 10 holes in the monofin palm arround 1cm diameter...then sandwiched it between the 2 flucke parts with silicone, that way some silicone goes in the holes and glues the flucke parts and all maintain the monofin in place...
Hope i'm clear enough... ;)
other thing: i'm still gluing the sides... ;)

thank you very much, I read that with monofin finis foil, silicone does not completely healed, have had trouble curing silicone with this monofin ? thank you very much :)
good work !!
In my case, i had no problem... The silicon cured well... ;)
thank you ANCEOS :)
You're wellcome... ;)
Only have to glue the back body to the flucke...then i will add a new silicon layer with phosphorescent paint to smooth all the scales...

It's coming along really nicely!!!
Great !!!
So the body is completely glued to the flucke...
I'm smoothing the edges of the flucke. Today i made the left one... Tomorow will be the right one... Then painting will begin...

Hey Anceos , I wondered where you have been! I know the whole process is extremely tedious but the tail shape looks awesome! Have you thought of a color palette yet?
You make me feel so lazy! I pulled two perfectly good silicone scale sheets last year and never got around to cutting and sealing them into tail form. Now they are probably too old to get new silicone to stick to it. Guess I could always make a scaled rubber tablecloth out of it for an undersea dinner party. :-/
This is looking gorgeous! Great job on the seams and the natural and very powerful looking fluke!
Thanks you very much...
So i was out of my home a while due to my work...
And i didn't post the updates on time...
I started to cast the fins too same as my first ones, but i will perhaps update them a little bit to match the new flucke...
Tomorow i will smooth the other side of the flucke, and will cast my dorsal fin too...
And Keiris, perhaps you should try to glue them cause it could work... ;)
Long time without news... so here we are...
front face paint is quasi finished... only have to add a last layer of phosphorescent (white which turns turquoise in the dark) on the central part... and some black on the edge of the flucke... then will have to make the back part...
