What is a pool bitch- someone who only swims in pools, or someone who bitches about public pools?
I'm the latter then. :p
But really, public pools suck here- no guards, couples making out in the kid's pool, no one showers before, etcetc.

Interesting thoughts, but I really don't see THAT many Ariel/Splash tails compared to the number of people in the mer community. Several people have them, but Raina is the only one I know of who uses it as their primary tail. If you look at pics from MerFest, most tails are super original. And if they are not, who the fuck cares? I don't give no shit if people be lookin like characters or whatever... Shit I got the island talk going on now... Everybody here "I don't give no shit" LOL
^ girl don't get me started. i used to live in the ghetto when my parents immigrated and the only place they could find was.. IN JANE AND FINCH.
When i get angry i revert back to slang speak.
I am fine with the Splash tails because I see more variety in those, but I do wish there was more variety in Ariel tails. Ariel is done in a simple drawing style and her tail is very simple looking so I feel like when you make that jump to being Ariel in the real world the tail should become more complex and not stay one solid color of green but that is just my opinion. I think it is more fun to customize things to fit you.:)
If one moment you're saying, "Don't judge mers by their tails" and the next minute, "Too many people have this kind of tail" or "if you're going to do this tail, do it differently..." you're getting into self-contradictory territory.
I think perhaps you are trying to communicate a desire to retain the varied dimensions that make mermaiding so diverse. A little less variety is often a growing pain of a community that has a lot of newcomers, but only for a while. I think it will work itself out in a way that could only happen with merfolk. And I'm still totally cool with anyone who wants to duplicate a tail that inspired them into mermaiding in the first place. It makes sense, and the tails from mers in films and shows are of course going to be huge inspirations.
I freaking love Madison, and I'd wear a Madison tail in a heartbeat. Orange just isn't really my color.
