^^ A healthy lifestyle is a LIFE CHANGE. You can't expect it to happen overnight, but don't let that slow you down from trying every day to make it happen. You can and will eventually get to a point where you no longer find junk food appetizing anymore. Especially if you learn how to make your own "junk food" healthier. As for just doing the work and getting in the kitchen, my advice is to find some recipes that you're excited about. When I was starting, my goal was one new recipe a week. That's enough to build up a repertoire of recipes, and not get overwhelmed. It also helps you gather useful ingredients over time. For example, one month I tackled Indian dishes. By the end of the month, I had all the spices I'd need for any Indian meal I wanted to make. Good luck!

YES! I love trying new recipes now. You can also change up an old recipe. For example, I have a shake I enjoy every morning for breakfast. This week I tried two new things that were heaven! PB with coconut oil and mango. I have never in my life tried mango before. And the two together? Wow! The recipe also involved almond milk and bananas. A new recipe I can't seem to get enough of is ice cream, just frozen bananas blended smooth with a food processor or blender, your choice of toppings. Get creative. Various fruits, PB, etc work well together and, as long as you make sure your toppings are healthy, it's healthy for you too! Cooking is so much fun!
