For those following me along, or along this thread, I have finally finished (for the most part) my Tail Pricing and Payment information. You can see the notes here Tail Pricing and here Payment info. I will also copy and paste the info here for everyone to read. If you've got any questions, feel free to message me.
Tail Pricing and Info
I am only offering Fabric and Neoprene tails at this time. And due to working alone, I can only have a limited number of orders at once; this is to ensure I do not get tail orders mixed up and they will be done quickly and efficiently to the customers satisfaction. There will be five (5) slots open for ordering. Once they are filled, I will not take any other orders until another slot opens up. Tails will be completed and shipped out in the order that they were received.
I am currently accepting either full payments and payment plans (minus the shipping costs). See Payment, Payment Options and Shipping Info Note for more information.
Once you have received pictures of your completed tail, I will require the shipping payment before the tail can be sent out. Each tail is different due to each persons measurements and fabric choice. This is the best way for me to be able to give you the most affordable and accurate shipping cost/method.

Payment:
After payment (or first payment if making payments) is received we will request your measurements and continue to discuss your tail design.
I am accepting payments through Paypal or via the Etsy shop at this time. This is the safest and easiest way for both you and myself.
Payment MUST be received before any work can begin on the tail. Once the payment has been received, materials will be purchased.
Payment Options:
There are four (4) payment options available:
~Full payment- This is a single payment in which the entire price is paid at once.
~Half now, Half later- This is a double payment in which a down payment of half the price is paid, and half at a later date. (Tail will not be shipping until the full amount has been paid)
~Half now, Payments over time- This is a multiple payment option where half the price is paid so work can begin on the tail, followed by multiple monthly/weekly payments is made until the full price has been paid.
~Monthly payments- This is a payment option that will take much longer to receive your tail, but can be the most affordable. Payments will be made until at least half has been paid, at which point work on the tail will begin. Payments must continue to be made until the full price has been paid.
One of my goals is to make tails more affordable to those wanting them and have several plans available to make them more affordable. If you wish to make payments, please state so when you initially email with your request. We will then discuss which plan you would like to do, whether payments will be made weekly or monthly, and the amount of the payments to be made.
If for any reason you cannot continue payments, whether the tail has been completed or not, refunds will not be given. If several payments are missed and I cannot contact you, unless you have previously contacted me, the order will be canceled and the tail will be completed and sold to someone else.
Attention: Regarding the final 3 payment options.
~Half now, Half later- With this payment option, an additional 1% of the tail price may be charged depending on when final payment is made.
~Half now, Payments over time- With this payment option, an additional 2% of the tail price will be charged.
~Monthly payments- With this payment option, an additional 5% of the tail price will be charged.
These additional charges cover the storage of the tail (as they will be stored in my personal home) until full payment is made.
Shipping:
The base price of shipping for all tails is $75. This price may change depending on the weight of the tail being sent.
All tails will be shipped with a tracking number. Insurance available at purchasers request for an additional cost. Estimated shipping time is 1-5 business days.
Do you do 'resizing' of other tails? Since I'll be seeing you soon, I'd love it if you could take a look at my tail and help me bring it in...
:D I can take a look at it. I've never worked with latex, so could be interesting. I'll see what I can do though
Yay! I just need the waist taken in a bit, and all my friends who can help me are super busy.
I can take a look at it and see what I can do to help. Knowing that you're not too terribly far away will make it a bit easier to get it back to you :) I can even take a look at it while you are here for the meet. Might be able to do it quick then
Thought I'd share a pic of the first possible paint design I came up with for Moon's new tail :) Let me know what you guys think. She asked to stick with the blue and black with stripes. Kind cruddy drawing, all I had at hand was ballpoint pens xD
i like it :) see i told you that using pens would work to keep the "bored" away lol.
Wow! That's gorgeous!
:D I'm glad you like it! I wanted to take your stripes and make them a bit more feminine, but keep them strong and not go frilly skimpy stripes :)
Just tossing an update. Spent the whole weekend so far working on jewelry. Have some new pretty stuff to list on the Etsy page, as well as some Halloween themed stuff. I'll get some pictures uploaded in a little bit :)
I look forward to it! :D

The necklace I ordered from shadow fantasy creations :D LEXIA even made a bracelet to match my necklace. I LOVE IT I haven't tried it on yet. But I know I will love it thanks!!!!!
Love those colors! What a great job Lexia did!
I'm glad you like it :) And I hope you don't mind, I had nothing pretty to leave a note on with it, so I recycled one of the cards that Vixen had sent with my stuff. The stamps and glitter were her, the writing was me. I'm big on recycling things and thought neither of you would mind. I hope the necklace isn't too heavy. I was going to make earrings to match, but nothing I tried looked good so I didn't want to try to force it :) I'm really glad you like it Adella
As a side not, don't forget to leave feedback on Etsy for me ^^ Kinda helps my shop a bit
I'm also glad it made it there in one piece. I'm sure you could tell from the packaging that I was worried about something breaking xD
Sale going on now at Etsy! Enter coupon code SHADOWFANCYMN to receive 10% off your purchase from now until the end of the week!
Sadly, my Kickstart only has just under 2 hours left and I am no where near the goal I had set :( I have launched another campaign on another site that allows for international backs, use of paypal, and still offers perks/rewards. I've got it set so that even if I don't make the goal, I can still get some funding to hopefully be able to buy some equipment I am desperately needing.
I'm asking the entire mer community to help me out and show some support for a new tail maker. Share and spread the link around, contribute if you can... Anything helps more than you think. I do have some cool rewards set up, including tails. I'd really appreciate everyone's help and support.
New Campaign~ www.indiegogo.com/shadowfancy
Great news! Legit Shadow Fancy website is now under construction!! Complete with proper business addresses under the sites own domain name. Will make sure to share the link with everyone, for now here is a little teaser that can also be found on the facebook page~

Check it out and let me know what you think!
EDIT~ You will notice that there is a second person listing set up. I've contacted a close friend about being my Web assistant to help me keep an eye on the emails and keep the website updated... I wonder who it could be ;) We'll see soon enough
Congrats on your website! Sorry your kickstarter didn't go as well as planned. You set a pretty high bar for it, though. I hope this one goes better for you. Starting tail making can be expensive for sure, especially if you're planning on making/using molds. If you don't gain funding, you may just have to take on the start up costs yourself like other tailmakers have done. It's an investment, and like any investment (especially in your own business) it's risky, but it could pay off big time if you play your cards right! Either way, wishing you luck! :)
Thanks Iona. I'm slowly working on saving up money to get it started. Getting a new (to me) sewing machine next week, hopefully it will sew neoprene well. Was just looking forward to any amount of funding I can get cause then I'd be able to buy some of the equipment I need sooner, but I'm working on saving to buy it in the future if I need to
