Well, it's pretty much finished. I learned more, made a few production/painting errors in the process and will not repeat them. I think it reflects the original design well (one of the main goals) and echos the trigger fish inspiration. All in all, I'm happy with it.
...now on to the next one!

Hey guys I want to make my very own silicone tail but I cannot seem to find any dragon skin silicone is Australia for it :/ so I was wondering if someone could help me out what I could buy instead for it like maybe another silicone that you can still paint and swim in the ocean with :) or perhaps even a latex :) any help would be amazing :)

this looks ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS, you have really chosen excellent contrasting Colours, they all seem to blend nicely together. I love the fluke design deff different to others out there....... plus I envy your tail.. :)

You cannot get the silicone you need here in Australia. You have to import it, and it's expensive as heck. You seem like a newbie to Mermaiding (I'm just hazarding a guess here) so seriously, go with fabric for a while.
If you won't take my advice, find and ask Mermaid Mizuko (she's from South Australia). She made a silicone tail early this year and documented it.
