Hehe! I'm trying to get this process going! I'm chomping at the bit as much as you all are, haha.

I got my neoprene samples. The quality of the neoprene is good! It stretches alright one way and very well the other BUT it always snaps back to it's original shape, which is what I want. However they did not include the color that I am looking to order x.x

I would love to try this but I live almost on the other side of the world... We do have a posting place in America though...

I swim in a fresh water (drink able too) river and two kinds of pools, a chlorinated pool and a pool which uses only filters. I swim in the river in the summer once we have had two days of heat and the chlorinated pool almost once a week or when ever I go into town. And the pool which only filters when it's hot (as it has no heating and the room is build like a glass house to make it's own heat) and I'm staying with a friend.

I have a odd body shape so I guess that would help you, I have a tiny waist, larger thighs then my knees and ankles are super skinny.

So news haha.

Turns out to ship the neoprene itself would be more expensive then actually buying the amount of neoprene I want x.x

So trying to find another place to get it. Wish me luck!

Trying to find Neoprene that would keep the prices low. It's hard finding that. We might have found something but they dont send samples so it might be a bit of a gamble.

Idk if this is still happening but I tried emailing a few months ago and never heard anything

Hi Mermaid Pearl. She was just taking applications early. She won't actually pick her testers for some time yet. At last update she had some trouble with the neoprene samples she ordered and is currently hunting up a new supplier. Hope this helps!

Thanks Luna, that's exactly it. Because we are still looking for neoprene that will keep the prices low but would be good quality the picking of the testers is on hold. When we do get the correct material in, we will be picking testers then because we will want to know how the fabric works in say, salt water tropical areas and cold winter areas with only chlorinated pools. FOR EXAMPLE.

So stay tuned. I will update when I have updates!

Swatches from another company have been ordered! Hopefully this is will work a bit better! They should arrive in 15 business days (silly shipping to canada!)

Fabric samples came in. One is a good maybe. It's thick but not super thick and stretches nicely. It's not bulky or buoyant like Neoprene but I need to find some way to make it so that the wears legs and ankles aren't super noticeable. I have ideas. Will be ordering enough fabric to make two tails after ECCC.

Ehhhh after thinking hard about my last post, the neoprene I wanted to use isn't that much of a stretch in price and if I order less then I was first intending then maybe the shipping wont be so high. Hang tight again fishes. Gonna get an update on neoprene prices and shipping and see if I can make this work.

What is the price difference and what would work best for swimming

Still working on this. Found a potential supplier thank goodness. Now just to build up funds for the first set of prototype tails. (had a career change and with that comes minimum wage.)

Are you still looking for tail testers because my application I sent the days I could use is now off I'd be able to swim in five days instead of two

Swimming spand: I will be able to swim year round I will be swimming in fresh water ,salt water , rivers and man made beaches to natural made gullies :pools or based a big hole in the earth with water can't remember what it's called; I will be on different textured areas to smooth pool surfaces to sabd, smooth Rock or ruffed Rock . I will also be in public pools I can swim it in anywhere between four to five days every week it just depend on how quickly it drys between each swim after it drys it will get used again :) I will be doing a lot of gigs and parties at local pools so it will be put through the ringer I promise you that . Now when getting into the tail I have a non slip mat under a yoga mat that is. About six and a half feet long also can use towels if extra porte tin is needed. I name sure to clean tails after each use to assure the tail last as long as it can . If this cleaning process last ten minute or three hrs so be it its worth it to insure the tail is unkept and last a long time .

Tails I have: I have a fabric tail I made and just got a Merrowfins tail still breaking the bugger in tho . The Merrowfins tail is neoprene inside silicone outside weighing 22 lbs in total

About me and what will make me a good tester: I might be new to this all but I am a natural born water fish I can be brutally honest to even friends when it is needed so I will make sure to tell you everything from how it fits to flow of it flakes easily r quickly. How powerful the tail is and or what needs fixed or tweeted . I will keep journal of what was done the area I swam in and how the tail did as well as any problems I had weighed it be drag or getting In or out of it . I would really like to be a tester. I have never been a tester for anything but I am very dedicated to a assure that the tail,maker knows everything is happening . When I set my heart and mind to something I do anything g to make sure it happens I would,love to be a tester for you . I can also give u the measurements I gave to Merrowfins if that helps
