I like the eye spots, just not the lines coming off of them, but that's just me. I adore the coloration UNF that tail is BEAUTIFUL!
I love my competitor! It's remarkably easy to swim in, it's not as stiff as I was expecting and I normally use a FINIS Rapid! I enjoy the control a stiff fluke affords me. :)Quote:

Oh absolutely I'm still coming, and bringing a coworker with me! The tail you made for me fits her perfectly, plus the slight buoyancy helps her feel so much safer. We are SO excited!!!
Beautiful colors on the tail, Marlin. :) I don't love or hate the spots- I was indifferent except in that the colors are so pretty on their own lol. Knowing they're eye spots makes me appreciate them, however.Quote:

Hey guys. I've been studying (ie, zooming in and out on pictures) most of the tails to see what the seams and little details look like. I wanted to ask how the flukes look in sunlight/lit from behind. From what I've seen, there is a clear line where the monofin ends and solid silicone takes over. But I think I've only seen flukes with the competitor. Does anyone have a fluke with the rapid?
All of your tails are unbelievably beautiful, by the way! I'm really starting to lean towards investing in a FinFolk tail.

The monofin only really shows through the fluke if you hold it up to the light like that. Also, I'm pretty sure Abby and Bryn don't put Rapids in any of their tails, because of the obnoxious ankle straps. I think their standard monofin is actually a Trainer, which has ankle straps/footpockets like those on the Competitor.
