I just got an email from Tyler stating they were ready to build my tail and asked for updated measurements. I am both excited and I am friggen worried. I followed their instructions on their measurements video, but I am so oddly shaped that... Ug, I just 1) fear I did it wrong and 2) was confronted with my measurements and it has me more depressed... and this whole week has been absolutely terrible for me.
*Worried whining in the corner.*
In my experience, it's better to be a little bigger/taller. Because if you get it and it's too loose you can take it in, trim it down, or wear tights underneath it. And if you lose weight you can send it back to be taken in (which is what I did with my first merbellas tail)
Having had both a looser fitting tail and a skin tight tail, i can tell you I much much preferred the looser one. And as much as people go on about wrinkles, even with skin tight tails you get em because people BEND lol.
This is the part I am most worried for as well <3, granted I have a year till that stressor hits me, but wrong measurements are the stuff of nightmares for me.Quote:

For measurements, would it be useful to get a video of yourself taking the measurements to send to them, so that if something seems wrong they could say, "hey, it looked like you measured this a little off"? I don't know if that would help or create spam.

I dont think she was ready for that to be public info yet it was meant as a preview for her FB friends. Just a reminder (cuz I even did it once by mistake) Raven has requested people on her FB don't post things to mernetwork until she's posted them on her fanpage. Her personal stuff doesnt usually have a watermark or all the info and she often has reasons for not posting it yet.

That clownfish tail is so freaking amazing. It's one of my favorites.
I don't think she offers that fluke anyway. It was only ever used on her personal clownish tail and she never really said anything about making it avaliable for client tails.

This is going to be the second Christmas where I was expecting to receive my tail and turns out I won't be. Not gonna lie, it's a little disheartening. I'm trying so hard to be patient and understanding but it's hard when literally everyone around me keeps telling me how 'you've waited long enough' or 'it's not fair other tails ar getting finished before yours' and that my patience is getting taken advantage of (even though that's not my personal feelings) it's hard to keep insisting that it's not like that.
