I'm getting so antsy for my tail again. It sucks sooo bad. I don't know how to keep my mind off of it.
Anyone have tips?

What I did for a long time was just not think about it as much as possible, but it's hard to do that at this point. Now I work on making my own fabric tails and going swimming as much as possible. When I'm actually swimming I don't think so much about it, and going to the pool usually sates me for a while.
Just sent the payment for my invoice! Called my bank to say it was a real purchase and hopefully they don't forget and cancel/flag it as invalid for being so much more money than I usually spend lol. But ah! Wow! It's really happening!
Can't wait to see your tail Kait!! Especially now that I have an even more personal investment in watching Merbellas tails make their way to their owners :) At least two years gives me plenty of time to sort out my life & prepare haha. I've been considering buying a competitor monofin in the meantime to get used to/practice with (vs the wave) so I'm more prepared to swim with one inside a tail. Anyone tried that/did you think it made any difference?

Congratulations, Jadestone!! Yes, any experience or practice with a monofin prior to receiving your tail will definitely help a good deal in preparing.

Any updates from the long term crowd? I know these next couple months several people were looking forward to possible updates. Just hit my 329 day mark. :)
I wonder who got the second tail if Jadestone got the first slot.
when I checked in with Raven last week to see if she thought Mimi's tail would be ready soon (was a year in January- so it's been a year and 5 months) I specifically asked about the long haul tails because I didn't want the one we're getting for Mimi to be ahead of anyone who has been waiting forever. And she told me everything is moving along on schedule and she's hoping to be done the long haul ones soon so she can then move on to people she's had send back for repairs and Mimi's and the next people in the queue :)Having Tori help has been making a HUGE difference apparently!!!
I'm one week of 1000 days but I know mine will be done really soon. I've seen pictures and some things are getting touched up and then it should be done. I'll probably make a big post when I get it so you all can see it for the first time in my unboxing video :)

No. But the design did cause a lot of delays in my tail. I wasn't 100% sure what I wanted so I let Raven design some sketches for me and I think that's where the bulk of it came from (at one point I waited about 9 months for one) and she was working on the colour changing technique for me (I was the first to ask for it) so that did cause some delays too. And then there was that 8 tail order due around new years that made her nearly completely redo 3 whole tails. But it's okay. I kept telling her that I didn't mind the wait and that I wanted her to take her time with my tail. I'm not complaining at all just stating facts :)
._. you're a saint. I'm nearing day 700 and I might just be the saltiest fish in the sea.
I know there was a client this time last year who after their entire tail was made, changed their mind on the paint scheme totally after it was painted. lol. she gets shit like that alllll the time.
just an FYI, I actually waited 2+ years for my first silicone from her :p my second was about a year and a half, and the others we bought used. I know it's not as long as some but I just wan't ya'll to know it's long waits even for the BFF hahaha
Thanks Raina. I'm not trying to complain, it's just tough to wait over double your original wait time estimate with no updates, then see a mer who ordered after you get their tail before yours.
Of course other people have been waiting longer than I have, and serious kudos to all you mers. Hopefully having Tori will help this process go smoother for future merbellas.
Ah well, keep on swimming, I guess. :/

Sad to think I won't get my tail before megacon like I thought. But there will be another one :) on the plus side Merbella apparel coming soon [emoji7]

yeah the apparel has been in the works for a LONG time. I know she had a few things ready to go but had to change designs. I think she's got some help with it. I am excited for it, but moreso excited for all these tails
Just an update, I received an email asking for updated measurements for my tail a week or so ago :)
I'm yet to send them cos omg been so busy, but yay! haha!
Day 700 today!!
I love the detail Raven added by putting that 'plated' area on the back of the heel. The burgundy color on the fluke rays really catches the light just right. I'm always a fan of how she does patterns on tails as well. It's funny, when I first got into mermaiding I wasn't a fan of striped tails because I thought they looked too busy but once I saw Raven's work with patterns I changed my mind and now they are my favorite!

I picked up a crop top and set of leggings :) super thrilled I think this is obviously going to be a huge year for her. Launching a new branded line, hiring a new employee, having her tails and tank in a major movie. Im jazzed for her.
