Pearlie, my cousin is big into the Maker movement, so there's a good chance he'll be going. I know he tries to hit as many in the area as possible, but NYC isn't quite local.
First swim in my mono fin today! It felt like I was born with it. :)

I am in the process of moving inland for school and I found out that my new place has a pool :D
My Mahina Merfin arrived today!!! XD

They also have the same sets themed after Mulan, Pocahontas and Belle. The art for Belle is a bit different, but gorgeous.

Going to Walgreens right now.
I got to walk along the shore in Plymouth, MA, today, and the sea breeze felt amazing! I knew I missed the ocean since I moved to an inland area of Texas, but I had forgotten just how wonderfully healing it is just to be around even if you don't go for a swim. What a wonderful day!
I just looked at the Walgreen's and e.l.f. sites and couldn't find Ariel at all (other than fake eyelashes)... Is it an "in select stores only" thing or am I just not looking in the right place? I won't be able to go look at the store until probably Wednesday...
Mine was pretty much sold out and the rest was on clearance. I was able to get some eyeshadows and some of the Belle line, because the colors were beautiful. I was hoping for an Ariel makeup bag, but no luck.Quote:

might be doing a mer photoshoot soon with another friend of mine.
photog also wanted a ton of info about mermaid tails. so i directed him to mernetwork and shared a bunch of resources (including raina's interview with CTV) ... he finally bought a fabric tail from finfun so he could do shoots :)

I'm fin-flippingly happy today! I was accepted into the Sacramento Mermaids' Mer-Pod! First shoot is tomorrow after a beautiful hike!!! Squeeeeeeee :yay::yay::yay:

So after a WHILE of thinking about my options (making a sequin tail, new tail from finfolk, tail from different maker) I've finally decided where my second tail will be from! Originally I planned finfolk, but I them realized I wanted a lighter tail easier for travelling, SO I'm getting a tail from Mermaid Jessica! Her and I were talking back and forth about it for hours last night, we are both very excited :) as for the design/color scheme, I'll be keeping it a surprise until my tail is paid for and officially in production :)
A little girl that I taught how to swim last spring just got a mermaid tail! I am so excited to go home some time and swim with her!

Oh you reminded me of a fourth one. My friends pool is open to all friends. She said if I just wanted to show up and enter the pool if just text her to let her know and she's cool with it :0 I now have free pool privileges to practice in the new tail.
