I didn't know exact measurements for that, so I just went off Iona's box measurements and she said it was a 4.5" depth, both of these have over a 10" depth so I thought it may be okay :)

the flukes tend to vary, mine is bigger than hers. So I would wait until you get it before you buy anything for sure!
I'm with Raina on this one, wait till you have it to buy anything, or if you buy anything make sure you can return it just in case, I'm pretty sure my shipping was about 220 to Hawaii and the box was pretty big about as tall and wide as a dishwasher, and about a hand length deep
Yep! I think waiting sounds like a good idea. I was going to wait until I got my tail any way, because I'd have extra fins to deal with and I have no idea how that would affect the size and I wasn't sure if the actual foot pocket size of the monofin affected the blade size (I think I may have read somewhere it might but I can't remember for sure). It would be really silly of me to buy one now with no clue as to how big my tail was going to be haha. But at least they're sitting here now in case anyone has a tail that may fit them and they're looking for a case for them :)
I actually found a fab rolling suitcase at a swap meet for under 100.00 that fits both my tails. :D I see a similar one nearly every time I go.
Attachment 26181 i got my first photo update!!!!!!!!
I love the colors and the spots! I keep coming back to the classic fluke shape as my favorite, even though the fancy ones are beautiful, I love this shape best.

Wow! Love it!
Gosh, her detailing is flawless and despite that, it seems to improve with every tail. Shes mega-talented. I feel super lucky to have one of her tails. :O
:swoon: Pink, gold and pearl are one of my favorite combos. I love it!!
Oh yes indeed; it makes me even more excited!
Also; Mermaidmechanic, not only do you have one of Raven's tails, but you also have one that was something of a prototype for dragon-designs which have become increasingly popular! :mermaid kiss:
She told me that's a raven's choice tail :D
Ah gosh! Seeing everyone's tails and tops makes me wanna save extra hard for my tail!
Who else has fallen in love with the golden ray top? I loved it ever since I saw it on her fb and Instagram!
what amazing stuff she does guess when I can save the cash I am going to have to decide between merbellas and finfolk for my dream tail which I won't be displaying here as I don't want any of the originality taken :) As I adore the tail I have designed so much only question is weather to go individual scales or not or is there a way to scale tip without individual scales as I am going to take awhile to save and don't have huge finances?? Any recommendations here as I love both Ravens and Abby and Bryns work but I have no clue who to go with as I love both and both will do the custom fluke I desire from what I have seen on there sites as I am following both. However going with Merbellas I won't have to pay extra for my extensive paint job that my eventual dream tail will require! Also merbellas has more of a tops range to get to match my tail when the time comes and would also love bracers and am hoping to eventually design some tops for myself when I get flippers to play with etc.
Overall may take time but I have no idea who to go with as I think without individual scales Finfolk does it will be cheaper but have fins and paint job to pay for any recommendations?? As both are beautiful but I love Merbella's tops so much!
Thanks won't be the near future but just thinking about it for when I can get the cash together!
Omgosh! Seeing all these tail pass by I'm getting even more exited for my tail! Will be selling my basic tail soon if anyone is intrested. But waiting a bit longer to take a swim in it for one last time. (Still waiting for my eye to heal so I can swim underwater.)
