My brother is 10 and when he has homework it's my fault (Seriously? ) and I get punched and kicked and then my mom just says, He'll grow out of it. It's his way of exerting anger. She's been punched by him too so I don't know what to think anymore. The baby always gets his way. :headwall:

Listen, Fiona.... I'm really sorry you're being treated this way. If your parents aren't doing anything to back you up, take action. Avoid your sister at all cost! Talk to your school counselor about what's going on at home. If no one is standing up for you, stand up for yourself. You can't be a victim. You just can't. I know it hurts when you feel like you're being ignored when you're having a tough go of it, but you can't let it drag you down..... hope you find a resolution soon
PS- I am the baby of my family, and they would have slapped the shit out of me if I'd treated my older sister this way. It's not that either of us got preferential treatment, we were just brought up to respect each other. I'm passing that on to my kids.

I know you can't go to a school guidance counselor, but maybe you need to sit down with just your mum or dad (not both) and just express your concerns.
Straight up state that you are concerned for her. You think that something is upsetting her in her day to day life, as she regularly becomes hostile to you when you haven't spoken to her. (that way you aren't at fault) Young girls shouldn't want to be hitting, screaming and talk about stabbing people.
State that you understand that your anger directed at a little girl could be seen as scary from her point of view, however you feel at risk because of the fact that she is continually making these knife related threats.
You feel that it's a double standard that you get yelled at when you get upset but when she gets angry and attacks you all they can say is "don't hit".
If you aren't confident in talking to them, write them a letter. (even think about writing her one, explaining that what she says upsets you and makes you concerned about her, cos you wouldn't just go around saying this shit if something wasn't wrong)
Also if you have a video camera, maybe you want to think about setting it up. Now I'm not talking about egging your sister on until she attacks you. But having it on in your room, or something so that if she bursts out, you can prove that you aren't instigating the problem.
But all in all JUST STAY AWAY!

Thanks guys! I had a talk with my mom and dad, and we all agreed (even my older brother) that when we move back to the U.S, she'll get anger management classes. THANK GOD.
I think I'm gonna take after my brother and, when she yells at me, roll my eyes, laugh, and walk away. He's very chill about everything, so I think I'll be too.

I'm going to a meeting this saturday, which might have been nice for my bf too, so he can see the other things I do. But no, he finds playing a stupid game online more important. This is how it went:
Me: "I'm thinking about going to a meeting this weekend"
He: "Oh, nice. When?"
Me: "This saturday."
He: "Then I can't join, I'm helping the corp in EvE moving to another wormhole"
Me: Staring blankly
He: Continues gaming as if nothing happened...
And then he mutters about how we do so little together in the last few weeks... yeah, like I want to spend more time on a PC then I do already every work day. I can just as well go live alone again, as we don't do anything together accept having dinner GHA!
Ask to have one day out of the week where the two of you have a day with no games or distractions of the electronic kind. That way he can still play games on certain days and you have time together with him on other days and y'all can work your plans around the date night.Quote:

I mean yeah, when you wear them over sweatpants, that's just showcasing your laziness, but pink ones over a nice pair of skinny jeans actually looks really good. And ugg boots are like walking on clouds made of chuck norris's soft heavenly beard.
i do agree, they're comfy... but i stand by my statement. they are ugly lol..
1) I hate when people try to tell me what I believe, and when I correct them they call me a liar. For example, they "quote" from a ceremony I've been through and then bring up incorrect "history" from a pamphlet written by someone against my religion. When I tell them they are incorrect based on what I have experienced, they call me a liar. Then when my friend backs me up (also been through the same ceremony), they say that everyone knows we all lie about that stuff. Really? Talk about poisoning the well...
2) My mom has been on me about being a mermaid again. It's not like I've told her I'm giving up my day job to become a mermaid (I wish I could, but at this point it's not realistic). I was excited about being part of a big princess festival here, and she tells me that I should stop talking about it. I asked her point-blank, "Are you ashamed of me?" She paused for a long time, then said, "No, but I wink at this because it seems to me you should grow up." I asked what that was supposed to mean, and she told me that children have dreams, but as you grow up you have to let reality take over. She said it's part of being mature and an adult. I asked if every adult had to give up on their dreams, and she said, "Not really, but you have to set them aside for reality." I was speechless. I went on to ask her about Disney princesses, and she told me I could never be a Disney princess, either, so why try to do something like it? I know she loves me and doesn't want me to get hurt, but her lack of faith and supportiveness astounds me. (PS My little cousin's b-day just passed, and she loves mermaids. I was going to ask my aunt if she'd like me to perform at a birthday for free, but my mom said I shouldn't dare because she'd just die of embarrassment and we don't want my family to know how "weird" I am.)
Gosh, Thalassa. It seems like your mom is just stomping all over your dreams. I'm sorry about the ways she's acting, but just remember to never give up your dreams no matter what anybody else says! Maybe you should show her how many other mermaids there are and how successful they have become. Next time you know someone would appreciate having a mermaid at a party and your mom says that, just brush it off and call them anyways. Maybe even start to charge a decent amount of money and show her how much your making because of it.
Tell her that being weird is a good thing. Who knows, maybe she's just afraid of you getting hurt. Tell her that you don't mind being called weird.
