What about for the crafty people.... like an easy How-To/ Project of the month page....
I was thinking like: how to make seashell jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets), mermaid hemp bracelets/arm bands, mermaid nail decoration, make up (I don't think Alicia is on here but she'd be amazing at that. If you guys decide to include it, I'll ask), etc.
Complete with easy step by step instructions, pics, materials needed. That could be fun and then whoever completed the project could post pics on here in the forum. Idk, just a thought.

Well, I'll see if I can't work on an article then. My spring break starts next week, so I should have plenty of free time to do some writing.
As a filler, you could potentially accept short (and by short I mean a paragraph or two long) stories by mers for mers ABOUT mers ^.^
Maybe even include a doodle with it, if some one has provided one along with said short story.
I would say that would be more then filler I think that would be great! Feel free to send anything to Aniar or myself :)
Aha! I bet you though Tail Flip was dead! Have no fear no that has calmed down it is being worked on with full force. Hopefully publication date will be the beginning of next month. If you have written any articles or want to write some please message me (or message Aniar outside of here) I'll be posting with more details and summery of what needs to be done a little later today!

Things Anyone Can do:
- Submit photos for a Forum Faces Spread (photos from around the forum)
- Mer of the Issue Nominations & voting
- Short stories (w/ doodles?)
- Photos from events where you have worked with kids (for the how to work with kids article)
- Photos of Mermaid Desert Meet up (if you attended)
Articles Needed:
- Mermaids in the Desert Meet up Overview + photos (you don't have to do both)
- How to talk & work with kids + photos from events where some of us have worked with kids
- A guide to be a Mertender Guild
- Mer-Fashion (claimed?)
- Mermaid Movie Review (claimed?)
If you have any more idea's or wish to submit an article not listed please message either my self or Aniar. You may either PM me on here or email me (mermaidsirena@ymail.com). If you wish to message Aniar then please email her as she does not come on the forums much these days.
Also ANY scheduled events happening, weather they are large or only for pods let us know and we can put them in the events section. So far all we have is Mer-Palooza.
PODS would you want to have a little section about what's going on in your little area's of the world?
There seems to be a bit of a buzz about mermaid modesty... that's an interesting issue to bring up. Could be a sidebar on Aqua's article maybe? Or maybe a discussion on image vs comfort as far as merpeople go, or even stereotype and media's effects on mer-style.
What'cha think?
I know it's a topic that is important to me, and I'm pretty sure there are other mers out there that have opinions. Merman top and accessory options?
I don't know what Aqua actually has going on in her article, but these are some ideas that might make an interesting read.
Indeed they are and I'm adding them to the potential article list right now! You know Dottie if you want to write any of those articles (or contact others to see what they are doing) feel free to! As much as I love the topic idea's I am not a writer, I just put things together ^_^
