Ive never seen the scales made separately and then put together, just the scale sheet molds. Can I ask how you are attaching them and what to? A backing, I assume....?

They are attaching with silicone. I'm using swimsuit lining fabric as a backing. It's a way several mers have started making tails but most popularly and successfully Pearlie Mae! She's amazing! My friend Tam (Amelia pond) is also doing this method. She sat down for 3 hours at a Starbucks back in the fall as I gushed about how amazing Pearlie was and do's and don'ts of tails lol from my past experience.

Oh my gosh, sooo pretty!!!!! How long does it take for the scales to cure?
Usually 5 hours but with some help from the sun and a blow dryer 20 to 25 minutes

I just found this forum a few days ago and wanted to see if there was anyone near me which led to stumbling onto this thread. It's really cool to see what you're making here and after wading through Pearlie Mae's (super awesome huge long) thread of how she made her tail it's fun to see how you'll pull it off.
