Love dances though, especially artistic ones.
Ballet, Flamenco, waterballet (aka merdances)...could watch them all night!
Maybe someone in touch with the managers of SWF can ask whether the mercouple balls in front of the ruins shouldn't be positioned a bit (a good bit, actually!) higher into the air.
They are now lying on the ground, and each time the couple dives down (second dive), they completely submerge under the sand ground lol.

Actually what I meant was when I was going through my last divorce I had a sl husband before I got married again in real life. In retrospect, that actually helped me to get through the drudgery of a divorcing my first rl husband after 20 years of marriage.
But no cyber dating or anything of the sort for me this time since Im married again in real life.

Well, if someone keeps mentioning they can't do XYZ because they're married- even if it's just a completely normal gathering/dance organized by the mersim club-, what am I to think?

But I found a mer waterballet group in SL and promptly joined, so now I can dance wherever I want without the need to be in a special place :D

If you have reasonable virus protection and firewall, you should be ok, but scan more often to be sure.

I used to as well, but I've never been very good, I can skate forwards, backwards, and do a very slow pirouette, that's it lol.

If your screen remains black after starting, it's most likely your graphics card cannot handle SL.
Check the requirements on the main website, you should find all info there.

I'm trying to convince the BF that it's okay for me to go on SL, it's not ALL sexy tiemz on there anymore, I just want to dance with all the lovely mers! It's *almost* like actually having a social life, right? :p

Haha yeah, my alcohol drinking is mostly limited to a little while camping or when hanging out with pirates, LOL. But, even if I did drink, I kind of live in a place where there's not much to do except tend to your fields and make things out of all the wood that grows in abundance here :p I used to live in Denver, CO, where at least there was things to do that didn't involve drinking, and were also mostly free as well... So I'm very lonely now, and I'd like to mer-club it up haha!
I think, if I can convince him that it's going to be safe and PG and I'm not going to fall madly in love with some random person and all, that the main issue will be bandwidth... Like I said, we're in the boonies, and our house is at the tail end of the internet... line... thingie. So I guess we have the slowest internet in our area, haha. The BF plays MMOs all day (no, really, all day I'm not exaggerating), and I'm worried I'll make him lag, and he gets like... REALLY upset when he lags. One day, I uploaded some large pics to my tailmaker, and his character died, and you would have thought I lost him his job or something! O.O;
It's always a little slower in the middle of no where! (And not within walking distance of ANYTHING.)

I can't figure SL out. :( but the stuff I'm having trouble no tutorial aactually explains, it's really annoying. I can't go anywhere, because I have to change settings I can't find. I can't seem to find a place I can red. I want to put together a tail, of sorts, and unbox my mermaid AO. (As much as I like boxes inside my arm, it doesn't really help.

I live in the middle of nowhere, too.
I usually don't mind, but having to drive an hour to get to a pool, or a doctor, or anything, is annoying...and it can get lonely, which is why I love SL parties lol.

Also, when you are grouped with others, they kinda rely on you, so if your BF was tanking or healing a dungeon or raid, his char lagging and dying could lead to an entire 24 other people dying (called a "wipe"), and that costs them all gold for repairs, and time in RL, so don't diss them too much for getting upset xD

Caltuna: LOL yeah, I totally understand him wiping a whole group... It already happens sometimes when we get really bad lag just because, and he's also a prominent figure in his guild (and usually their main tank), so I totally get it. The day he freaked out was actually during the day while he was playing alone. He's just been grumpy because we ran out of food stamps so he's been out of soda for a week :P He drinks nothing but Cherry Coke, so he gets just a wee bit cranky without it LOL... And I understand, he's also lagged me so bad the whole internet froze while I'm trying to upload video and we had to reset the router...
What time do Mer-dances usually happen? Serious raiding doesn't happen over here until later at night, it's a night owl guild.

I am very active in SL and am a full time mer (octomer/cecaelia). I have a pod of dolphins that I pilot around the waters of SL with up to 11 passengers. We meet next to the (previously mentioned) Safe Waters Foundation Headquarters at 2pm (PST/SLT) every Sunday. It's a lot of fun.
