Thanks to Lotus Blooming for drawing my dream tail too! Though till I can save money I don't want to share it as it is so unique I don't want the design stolen.

Yes you are right Mermaid Celeste I wouldn't be offended if someone wanted similar I just don't to share it till I am getting it made as then I don't mind if someone has something similar I would just be devastated if someone took my dream tail before I could get it made so I will share it when I am actually getting it made rather than before then if someone wants to do something similar they can it doesn't phase me then! But I may have many years of saving yet (hopefully not) So I don't want to risk my dream tail being taken in that time :)

I started making it myself....but I ran out of money :( I sculpted the fluke and scales and shell-shocked the fluke and then the project came to a standstill.

Okay, guys! I have an announcement and a question for all of my mer brothers and sisters! :)
I'm planning on becoming a tailmaker, starting in April/May. I'll start by making one for a friend of mine and if all goes well, I'll create an Etsy listing in my shop and post the URL here and in my own tailmaking thread in the appropriate forum. I'm planning on using some of the funds from the tails I sell to pay for my husband's and my plane tickets to Japan for a mission trip we're going on this summer. :)
My question is: If I was to start making them and they actually turned out pretty decently, would you purchase a tail from me? I want to know if I'll have any potential customers. No commitment required, I won't bother you about it. Just curious as to how high the demand is for tails. I'm pretty sure I'll be charging around $2500 for an average and/or custom tail, not including shipping (since I know a lot of mers are outside of the U.S. so it might cost more than I can afford). Does that sound like a good deal? Please, let me know your opinions! I know it won't be as amazing as a Pearlie tail, but it could be a good starter! <3
