It's a little big and roomy. I made it that way so it would be more of a comfy blanket to lounge in. I'm currently working on a second one that I could slip off over my feet and walk around if I needed to. The second one will be more of a costume, and I'll be adding more elements to it.
It's not silicone or even swimmable fabric, but it's a big step up from the construction paper tails I made as a kid! :D

I went to the Fair with my boyfriend tonight and before we left I went to the airbrush booth and got the artist to airbrush a hat to read "Mermaid" and the background is neon green with blue markings. :swoon: I loves it!

I just got finished talking with the pool I swim at and they said I can swim in tail in their 50 foot deep well!

After making my mermaid snuggie, I crocheted a better fitting one for a dry tail for photos. After consulting with my husband on design issues, I unravelled it and am halfway done crocheting it again. I'll have something to put on the "show us your tails" thread soon! :D
