looking great
Did you have to modify your tail? It looks like it fits you really nicely, which is pretty great for a second hand tail.
I forget, did you repaint the tail any?
Believe it or not but it doesn't really fit me that well. It's very short on me since Krystal cut the front of it and didn't give me the measurements for that so, I had to wear two dancing belts while swimming to cover the big gap or everyone gets to see my crotch. It's been repainted two times with me so far and has had most of the extra fins removed since they started cutting into me while in the water. I have had to resew in the heels and lower leg areas and fix up a few holes after it came to me damaged from the post. Apart from that, I love my tail. :group hug:
The before just to help see the difference:

I know all of y'all on my FB have seen these pictures already, and Merman Arion has been sweet enough to post them in the Finfolk thread ... but I thought I'd put them here anyway. :) This is me in my new Finfolk tail, in a couple of informal shots taken by my beau.

O.O Dat tail...The colors look amazing in the third pic, Syrena.
I love the photo where your sitting and looking at your tail :) The expression on your face is of pure love for your fin
Just had the most awkward photo shoot ever... And by that I mean that I have no camera, so I sat in a bathtub full of water with my tail on and balanced my laptop on the edge to take pics of myself with my webcam, LOL. Hence the varied coloration... It took a lot of Photoshopping just to get the awful graininess out! I have GOT to get a camera!

Now one with an obviously Photoshopped background....

And some that I couldn't get rid of the graininess...

Not exactly professional quality but, hey, at least I didn't drop my laptop in the tub!!!
I've totally done the balance laptop to do photos thing before, I feel your pain! Though later I found out since I have a mac so with an application called Sofa Control I can use my mac movie remote as a remote to the camera. I don't know if you have a mac but I thought I'd share in case you do :)
Also I know noise and grain is a super pain. I recently discovered a program called Neat Image. The free version of it is actually not that limited at all, works great for my needs. I have a camera that gets super noisy upwards of 400 ISO, so Neat Image keeps me from throwing it against the wall haha :P You can find it for Mac and Windows here: http://www.neatimage.com/ Just be careful when adjusting cause you can reaaaally overdo it, same as any adjustment.
Sometimes I put the image through several times at different levels, then splice them together via layer masks in photo shop. Like crank up the noise reduction for skin in one, lower it for the background a bit in another, then make it super low for my tail (as to not lose the scale details) in the last. Put it all together by turning each photo into a layer and making those layer masks, paint to hide what I do and don't want for each layer and boom! Well done noise reduction image on all levels :) But I'm super picky so :P
Lovely photos! I love the 4th one down the best :) Cudos to you on the creative way you used the scarf for a top! Very nice :thumbs-up:
Pretty resourceful and darned cute!
Haha, yeah, none of my bathing suit tops matched my tail, not that you could see my tail much in this!
I will have to check into that program, and find out about that remote, too, because I do have a Mac. Though I plan to get an underwater camera soon. I was waiting until SCUBA season came around, but since I'll be getting a tail from FinFolk soon, I think that may have to jump onto my Christmas list. Go Pro, I want you....
My photographer roommate and I went down to the river after a gig last week. Check it out! :)
