thank you ^_^ I will resend the message next Friday then, as to not crowd their inbox and give the ample time ^___^
(I reeeeaaaaly want a tail T - T I hope that in August they can take my order, I was so sad since the two other tail makers I was originally going to buy from either have closed all slots until further notice or have discontinued the type of tail I wanted. I am prayin SO hard for finfolks to work out..)

Oh, now, look what y'all made me do! Here I was trying to be all strong-willed, thinking "I don't need a silicone tail to be a pro." And then all these fabulous Finfolk tails and designs started popping up. Well, I guess resistance is futile! I just FB messaged them with an order. Since I'm a northern mermaid, I've designed a tail with an aurora borealis theme:

I know some of you have been trying to reach Finfolk lately with your orders and haven't gotten a reply yet, but I think we'll all be FinFolk happy eventually! Whee!

Ooh so beautiful Galene!!!
And LOL yeah, resistence is futile xx
-
Oh my that design is gorgeous! I'm sure it'll look AMAZING as a tail! :D
-
What an AMAZING design! <3
-
It'll be an airbrushing challenge, for sure, but I have a feeling they're up to it.
-
Wow that is amazing and very creative Galene!
This thread makes me every more antsy and excited to even hear from them at this point since no one else seems to be getting through :(
-
am I ONLY suppose to message them via their facebook or do they have an email? (I saw they posted an email once but I tried it just to see and it doesn't work.)
-
They got back to me last night. They put a post up a while back saying that customers with tails in production have top priority because they are soooooo busy atm. I think they barely ever get days off. But they do get back to you within a week. Which is great! And yes through Facebook.

They seem to be crazy busy! At least from what I can tell they have a team of folks who help them out, so they don't have to do it all themselves.
Also summer is always tends to be VERY frustrating for tailmakers, becuase they get a serious influx of people wanting tails. And with a lot of people, they just found out about tails or that tailmaker in particular, and everyone wants to order a tail FOR summer DURING summer- and people don't realize that is NOT gonna happen with silicone tails. X_x
-
I told them I know those of us ordering now can expect it to be several months before our tails are completed, but that's all the more reason to get in the queue now. I'm guessing it'll be somewhere between October and Christmas before summer orders materialize.

Sorry, I didn't mean that to sound like anyone here was doing that- I was just saying in terms of inbox explosions summer is probably the worst for them!
Btw, so excited for you Galene- your tail design is so pretty! I can't wait to see what they do with it :)
-
STOP GUYS OR IM GOING TO WANT TO ORDER ONE :O
-
wow, that aura borealis design is so gorgeous <3
(ah! oh my, uh, I dunno why I thought %50 of 2500 was 1500 but uh, I JUST realized it's NOT, and funds are actually much closer in my favor then I thought.
so, uh, that being said, since it looks like I can now afford it (whenever they have room for the order that is) does anyone have opinions of which monofin is better? This will be my first and I am wondering if settling for the trainer would be fine or if I should upgrade for the competitor, any thoughts?
Because if I settle for a trainer then I can order the tail sooner, but if I get the competitor I will be waiting a LITTLE bit longer, but still not as long as I had originally thought.)
-
There has actually been a lot of discussion about the different fins in this post. I think the conclusion was that if you do a lot of ocean swimming the competitor is great. But if you want to do more land stuff or prefer a more flexible look in the water then the lighter and smaller trainer is better.

I took my Finfolk tail out for World Oceans Day, but all I could find was a stream. ;)
