I've been bitten by the inspiration bug! Prepare yourselves for a flood of new scale designs!
Today I learned that I will get to be a magazine editor! I had been wanting to be the magazine editor of an association I am in for years, but they just never changed editors. Finally, when the editor wanted to quit, another lady quickly claimed spot as editor. Me being younger and newer I just kept quiet and figured maybe someday I would have my chance. Surprisingly my chance came very quickly!
The first issue I will be doing will be the January 2016 issue. I am excited, but also extremely nervous to put together a whole magazine and orchestrate getting ads, articles, and pictures! Yay!
Any larpers here? Hehe I am super excited cause a local larp group. (WayPoint larp for any of you michiganders out there) said I could be a mermaid npc during the summer larp season! I am so excited!! THEY EVEN HAVE A LAKE, AN ACTUAL LAKE FOR ME TO SWIM INNNNN

I have a happy moment! My fiance is the best... he went out to Happy Hour with coworkers, and brought home a bunch of mermaidy schwag for me! He said they were giving free stuff from various breweries with purchase so he ordered Coronado Brewing Co, because as you can see, they have a lovely mermaid on the logo. He brought me a keychain, a can cozy, a lip balm and a pint glass with the lovely mermaid on it. I don't drink beer, so I'm glad he did this for me.

Thanks! It is a magazine for the United Peafowl Association. My #1 obsession in life is peafowl (peacocks) and I got my first peafowl in 2009. Since then I have always looked at the association's magazine and thought it was rather plain for being about such a beautiful bird, and I wanted to be able to improve it. I would try to send in photos and articles for the magazine when I could. Now the association really needs the magazine to look good because we are losing members. Currently to see the magazine you have to be a member of the United Peafowl Association, but I think it will be helpful in gaining members if we make one issue available to everyone online so that people can see what they will be getting when they become a member. This first issue I am working on will probably not be the one I post online, but maybe next issue I will see about making it for everyone to view.Quote:

A friend of mine is back from the air force for the holidays. We just finished up a pokemon battle marathon.

Went to a really good University associated aquarium today, and had some much needed me time. It was very nice, saw a rainbow on the way home which was nifty.

I FINALLY SWAM IN MY TAIL!!!!! It was awesome!!! It was just temporary just for the day but STILL. I loved it! I wish I got video! Terrible day not to have my camera! To be honestly honest it just felt like I had a swimsuit over my legs (I have a fabric tail) but I don't maybe it was symbolism or something but every time I looked down I had a TAIL every time my shadow was cast in the pool I saw a MERMAID. I'm celebrating with some crab I got on sale.

I got more hours at work. For now, it's just another lesson on a Thursday, but my boss said if I want more days that will open up soon, I have first dibs. And he said there would be morning classes available as well.
I can't tell you how wonderful it would be to not travel 2 hours to get to work on super packed trains. Plus more hours means more pay and more pay means I can do more for my business and travel more and hopefully work on conservation projects. There's one in Australia I'd love to do.
Anyway super happy! I actually really like my job, I just hate the commute so this is a great improvement!

So I decided to share some great news with all of you! But first a little blurb.
This last year (2015) Has been the hardest year I have experienced so far. Between the passing of my grandmother, who raised me until I was seven, My biological mother’s MS declining her health even more and her medications getting messed up, causing more problems physically and mentally then the family could handle. My anxiety/depression going to a whole new level, even putting me in the hospital a few times. Watching my parents’ marriage fall apart, watching my own marriage starting to crumble. Having my sister denounce the family. Being threatened to be evicted from my home, losing my companion cat that I’ve have for eighteen years and lastly losing a friend that I have had since middle school because of a misunderstanding. There’s probably more that I can’t think of, but a lot piled up on me. I know these kind of things happen, but for the life of me I could not find any way out, no matter how hard I tried. I would be okay for a week, maybe and then be in a state of depression all over again. HOWEVER!
In the last month I was able to finally get a doctor that understood my condition and gave me medication that I take daily instead of when my anxiety strikes. Within the first week I could see a difference in myself. I spoke in-depth with my husband about my fears without clamming up (crying did happen though of course). We sorted things out and are now better. I have a new job lined up, one with less stress and higher pay, I have found a house within my price range, I’m going back to school, my parents are FINALLY going to see a councilor, and I’ve gotten news that my tail will soon be underway of creation!!! So many exciting things.
I know to pace myself and not take too much on at once. I have a very supportive husband, a great support group of friends and a determination to start this year on a high note and keep it as happy as possible. Thanks for reading and I hope you all receive great blessing this year!!!

Today is my Birthday and the first present I was told to open was some colorful harem pants I saw on Amazon that I wanted. Most of the gifts I got for Christmas were things I had asked for specifically so nothing was much of a surprise. BUT...Today the second gift I opened was an underwater video camera! It is kinda like a GoPro but cheaper. I am really excited to finally get some underwater filming! I will finally know if I look natural or derpy underwater! :lol:
Heated up some leftover fetuccini Alfredo. Added some goat cheese for creamy-ness, b/c I can't do milk anymore.
I am surprisingly pleased with the result!
So my parents and I are at a Ford dealership looking at cars for when I get my license. Currently looking at the Ford Escape simple model suv. It's really cute I think I've fallen in love!

I don't think I've ever been as happy as I am now! I'm in my bed, warm and cozy, listening to the bubbling of my betta tanks. Been rough day but after I got to church this morning and saw my four year old Sunday school class it made me feel better and now it's time for a nap because I stayed out too late last night and didn't end up going to bed until 1am and I woke up around 5:30am but yay for naps! I love naps[emoji4]
