I getting to the point where I could retire, both in terms of age and financially. But I was not sure I really wanted to, there are many fun things going on at work. So I asked HR if I could go part time, 32 hours a week, (so I still get medical) and they said yes! Now I have three day weekends!

I'm so happy! I finished a cosplay I was working on,and finally got someone who could help me with registering for this semester's classes. I was having some issues with the system. :phew:
A friend of mine just got an apartment with her boyfriend!
She's been living in this crappy room in a house who's owners rent out the bedroom. For a while someone was serially shitting in the showers.
And now she has an apartment!!!! It even has a pantry for their occult-y stuff and she is so happy and I am just thrilled.
That's so great! good for them! (who on earth takes shits in the showers what the actual hell??? nasty...)
Something similar happened to a friend of mine in her residence hall. Someone would just pee on the floors every morning??? Congrats to your friend!
At the faires I work at a mystery s***ter inevitably appears and defiles the showers or takes out the liners in the trash cans, makes a mess /and then puts the liner back in/ and faire responds by locking everything for everyone >.>
So glad your friend does not have to deal with that anymore.

Mermaid Mystery congrats with your dog, is he a German Shepherd? And is that herring you are feeding him? I have a white shepherd and he looooveeess herring and other fish :-) I gave him herring for his birthday last Octobre :-)
He's a Norwegian Elkhound! And those are sardines, they really love smelly fish!
Finished a mock up of a fluke design in fleece... so now I have a fuzzy comfy fluke, which I'll be attaching to a tail body, and have a nifty tail blanket. Next: get the neoprene and make the fluke in that, and then a full tail. Kind of amazed I completed it. The amount of time one has for oneself when a child or pet is going through medical stuff and needs full attention is pretty slim, but I think I made it work without neglecting other things too much. (Also, my kitchen doesn't know it's the 21st century and refuses to clean itself... this is supposed to be the future, dammit!)
Also, my daughter just had her third and (hopefully) final hip surgery... the physical therapists want me to get her into water as soon as she's healed enough and the surgeon approves. Although it will be taking it easy in the instructional pool with her, I will still be in water. Best phys therapy order for her yet.
