It can indeed be but it won't explain the streaming of this forum, because we don't have a "school" here on the forum, and the creepy services they offered more the use of other companies links...

Wait what special was it? I never heard of the Discovery doing a mermaid special (thank god it never aired though because by the sounds of it, it was terrible)

I've searched high and low and can't find a place to stream it. It aired on Discovery Channel Asia. It was a show called Forbidden. They were on an episode called Odd Man Out.

It did air. I dvred it. Iona watched it with me when she visited. I can quote it. They talked about how technically mermen came first and had "experts" tell us what Mer pods were and played cheesy porn style music which I found very insulting. It showed Chris skateboard a lot and sunset kisses on the beach.

I thought Chris and Shelly did a great job. But discovery filmed mermaids being dragged up the beach and hopping in their tails and made it seem like a joke. And anytime Chris spoke they either played rock music or cheesy sexy music

It aired in North America last summer. I thought it was only Canada but some American Friends saw it too. It originally aired on the Asia chanel

That is a real shame. I for one can attest that the media can scarcely be trusted and does enjoy sexualizing virtually everything!

I saw it awhile ago too. I found it on youtube. And yea, they made it like she was a weirdo, like those people that eat hair...

It actually aired in several countries. A few mers who were in it gave me the episode number and name cause they were really excited about it- there were lists of the show's episodes and when they had aired when I was looking for it (I just never found it available for streaming on the web) and saw it had aired quite a few times in other countries. A few other mers said they had seen it as well, one wanted to send me the file of it but she couldn't figure out how to make that work. So I watched it with Raina when I went to Halifax this summer- she had saved it on her DVR since I said I was interested in watching it :)
