That awkward moment when you realize that your mermate was reading over your shoulder while you were ranting about boobs.
I would do this in a heart beat if I wasnt worried it would cause problems with teaching. I am a nude model, and for the time being the teacher's union is okay with that. Obviously since my nude modelling is in galleries, art nude books, and art nude website- kids aren't going to find it, and generally if for some reason they did because the images are done in infra-red frequently it changes the skin and hair and isn't easy to see it's me. Now, as for mermaiding, I did one topless shot with a well known art nude photographer 2 years ago before I was professional. The edited versions are on my site with scales edited over top. I know Hannah has a few topless photos too, but they're all in the ocean and are dark enough that you really just see the outline of the breast. I think this far into the game with me, because I work so much with kids and teaching and my students now follow my mermaid stuff, topless photos would be a bad idea, same with being caught swimming somewhere topless despite the fact we have a few nude beaches around here.Quote:

In order to shoot infrared the photographer has to have their camera customized with a filter built right in. It changes anything red into white, so my red hair would always go white. It comes out either redish or blusih when done, so gets converted to gray scale. Gives the skin that marble esq look, and lightens the hair. Also, this is how a lot of my photos end up being done, face less.
It also turns the green in plants really white too as seen here!

Boobs everyone has them, men as well. The Human (and mer) body is a piece of art, there's no shame in it. However everything in this world is Taboo. To me it's art, you think the "David" wasnt controversial? Heck I went to mexico and went topless on a beach didint- bother me none. Just if you do it, sunscreen is your friend..

Around Florida sometimes chicks take their tops off and walk around the beach. No one gets mad
at them, but only a few people at a time really do it, I suppose because everyone else is embarassed
maybe. I don't think you'd get in trouble, either. If anything, they'd probably just ask you to put
a top on.
This talk about female toplessness is somewhat of a departure from the original point of this thread. I feel like it would fit well in the subforum I want to make based on the requests in the LGBT Pod thread. I was thinking of making a section called "Gender and Sexuality Discussions". I figure that name is broad enough to include topics like female toplessness and "Mermen and Society" . What do you guys think?

Follow up on that...when one of those friends looks through your phone, sees pics of your tail in the making, and somehow knows exactly what it is though you've never told them... xD
You know, I actually love to show tails to the gals I work with, who are really are the only friends I see regularly. They look at me a little funny, but they are always amazed at people's artistry and that people really do this. I think that's awesome! But then there's that awkward moment when... a customer sees what you're showing your gal pal over your shoulder and says "I didn't know you served sushi here!" ha ha. (I work in a Chinese restaurant and one of our regulars ((who is in INSANELY hot firefighter)) said that to me last night.) yeesh.

< Me Today..lol her mom came up and said "see honey mermaids get hiccups too.." All in all i made a little girl's eyes sparkle seeing her first "real" mermaid and hopefully a future mermaid to be apart of our community. :)
