Is that a rainbow fish?
that fish is awesome! Also looks like a cichlid... is it?
Reminds me of the Rainbow Fish books I used to read when I was little :D
Anyone have a picture of a masked glass goby?
Yes, merboy, I think it's a cichlid but I don't know for sure
Here's a fish that I have recently come to love. It's called the Blue Chromis. Enjoy.

Amazing, aren't they?
...oh, and spindrift! I loved the octopus (I'm totally ok with other sea creatures being included, after all-- Orion started this as a thread for inspiration). I am planning on posting some non-fish creatures as well... crustaceans, mammals, etc.
And speaking of Octopi... have you seen this before? I just "discovered" it for myself recently-- it's called a blanket octopus... they release long webs of beautiful membrane to frighten off enemies.

Here's a new one. It's colorful and from the Wrasse family. To be specific, it is a Melanurus Fairy Wrasse.

That's beautiful-- I started collecting Wrasse pics because the entire family is INSANE with color!!

Anyone know what kind of fish that is? I drew up a tail design based off of it.
i tried finding it, but it always just said "pink fish" or whatever, so i didn't find out what it is :(
its beautiful though!
Aww man. ): I was thinking of doing a reverse image search but I don't think that'd work.
It's a purple squarebox anthias fish.
MERMAN AEOLIUS TO THE RESCUE!! lol.

He'd give your finger kisses when you'd stick it in the tank, as well as follow you as you walked around the room lol

aeolius, those fish are beautiful! and so bright!
& fresh, your fishies are so cute :3
Aeolius, those fish are super cool! I told my mom about them and now she's gonna buy one for her aquarium. :P
If you cannot buy local, you can try LiveAquaria (I assume she has a saltwater tank). :) They do seem to have some of the regular squarebacks in stock. You'd need a few, as they do best in groups. Get at least one male and one female, as they have different coloration. Oh, and if you get all females, don'tbe surprised if one changes into a male - they're hermaphroditic.

Yes she has a saltwater tank with clownfish and an anemone and some sort of shrimp. I'm not sure what else is in there, though.
Woah. :O Hahaha that's so cool. **wakes up one morning** "Oh look, Keisha got a sex change!"
I work at the Waikiki Aquarium in live exhibits as well as part of our newish research team.
