I like all the stuff here. Specially I like a neckline. That was in last few picture. Stuff are really helpful to increase beauty.
recently, I've been making some pretty cool necklaces, but for now, I don't have photos yet. one of them has a baby sand dollar and fake pearls on a wire. another is a wire with a star fish and some sea glass beads. and the third I made for my mother with fake pearls and sea glass beads. and I'm working on a headband. it's going to have sea shells wrapped in wire on it

Neat to know that abalone shells come polished on the outside like that! I love the way the insides look, and had been thinking how much I would love a top with that, but the curve in the shell went the wrong way... Now I know they can be polished on both sides! That is an absolutely beautiful top!

I also want an abalone bra, I have one shell but not a second (yet). I like them because they actually cover my bewbage, unlike pretty much every other shell I've seen.

I made a belt too but I forgot to take a photo of it! :p Didn't get much done on my top as I crashed hard; need to at least get the next sewn on tonight and start the shells & pearls (which hubby drilled for me last night :)

This beautiful nail polish is from some cheap accessory shop I don't even remember the name of - it has a sort of green-from-one-angle-pink-from-another thing going on, and I love how the bottle itself looks like a pearl!

I work in the lingerie section in Trade Secret,so I can snap up my size in bra as soon as something goes on sale. This set was only $15!

First headdress was done on a hair band and put on down the back of the hair with fake braided hair to hide the band, didn't work well since it kept falling down and showing the uncovered part of the band.

I have a bunch more stuff that I have laying around that I haven't taken photos of, or that I sent out and didn't take photos beforehand :P I tell ya what, I need to craft more. I put it off but when I get back around to it I realize how great it feels to create :)

where did you find the shells?!
Nice! The thing you got to watch out for when working with wire, is that the wire will eat through the shells or cause the shell to chip and break. Wire does not play well with other materials, especially natural materials. Next time can try heavy weight fishing braid line, as it is tough and does not fray easily.

Made this crown in October and Debuted it at Merfest! It was a hit! I have an etsy page where you can buy a CUSTOM one for all the queens of the sea!
Cool! Did you use real sea animals or the fake ones? I'm a bit iffy about buying real seashells and the like, cos I don't know how the shop got them, or they could be leftover from someone's dinner. When I go seashell hunting, I only take the broken homes, chips, the ones they can't live in. But I've seen lots of whole pieces here, some of them look really good, just wondering if they are fake plastics things or not.
Mystic Merman: OMG THAT SHARK TOOTH. It's huge! Where did you get it? I'm on the hunt for shark teeth (kind of critical to my mer-sona, LOL).
These all look so great! :clap: Merman accessories are much less abundant than mermaid accessories, which, could pose a problem when creating new ones. However, but this has definitely given me a few great ideas! Everyone is so talented! :hail:
*pokes head in* I've been working on merman accessories... I have one currently listed in my own accessories thread (I make too many), and more unisex/menswear on the way! :)
I haven't got many accessories, and I'd like to make earrings with these :)

Whole seashells! You're so lucky! In Australia, its illegal to take seashells that marine life can use. That's why I only collect broken unlivable homes.Quote:

While working on my top, I made this little medallion. I was thinking I'd cast it in latex, and then my honey suggested resin. I'm not sure what to do with it, tbh.

Resin is lighter than latex. Plus you can add more details then use Mold Putty, which is really good at picking up fine details. Resin dries clear too, so you can add little sparkly bits, seashells, even tiny candies (they won't melt). After you pop out the resin, they don't require sanding/buffing and is ready to use.

You should invest in some bead mats. They are a light beige color, they won't take away the impact of the colors of your work like it does here with your towel and carpet...
