So, my gym class it's doing a kayak emergency procedure unit, which means basically I'm spending the class swimming beneath the boats.
I resurfaced near my gym teacher and he said, "It's so cool that you can do that. I just see this dark shape moving through the water and I think 'what IS that?!'"
I was happy. Apparently I look surreal even sans tail. :)

So a week or two ago I showed my best friend some videos of Hannah Fraser. She started freaking out telling me how cool my hobby is and how brave we are. I'm going to try and turn her into a mermaid. She's super shy and self conscious but I feel like she'd make an awesome dark mermaid/siren. I'm like super stoked that she thinks it's so cool and might be willing to try swimming in a tail. She's also super supportive about it too!

after work I went to the mall to look for a swim top. I walked into Victoria's Secret because I did notice a few potential tops and I tell a sales associate that I need help looking for a top for a mer gig that I have May 3rd with Dreams Take Flight. She starts mad flipping out about mermaids and she was just so excited. She ended up finding me the perfect top I can doctor up.. And it supports my boobies so well and gives them a good shape 0-0
ANYWAY! I'm glad people haven't looked down on my mer hobby :P
Also I may or may not have a gig at my towns local strawberry festival :0 was just talking to my dentist about it a few seconds ago and she said she'd contact me (she's in charge of all the characters that show up at the festival)

This is completely non-mermaid related.... Hopefully that's ok! I'm working with my wonderful friend, Riley, on a project for my ASL class that I'm very passionate about! We're going to perform a romantic duet integrating sign language and dance, telling a story of a couple who breaks up but is still in love. Thanks for all the nice comments! I had been looking at this one online for months, then it happened to go on sale. I called my Mom and we were done dress shopping within a half hour. It's now hanging up at my parents house.
Now I just have to wait 20 more months till I get to wear it!:gah: (I am not good at this whole "patience" thing)
I just got accepted to my top school!!!!
