You are so adorable, Blixi!
This is a tail I made last year, so all you lovely meryuku and long time forum mers have most likely seen it, but I figured I'd share it here as there are sooooo many newbies joining the community!

jukumerboii has a sweet ride...maybe its one of those amphibious vehicles. ;)
Wow, I love the repaint too Krystal! So pretty. :)
Ok, I was debating if I should post a pic of my tail because the background looks soooo cheesy, lol, I changed the background though because my apartment was such a mess in the picture. But here it is anyways! I really want to repaint it though, I'm thinking about maybe adding some gold.

My Mertailor tail.....a bit sad that it is too big and my color scheme is off...I am deciding if I want to risk my tail by installing a waistband and repainting...oh woe is me! lol
sorry to hear that :( these seem to be frequent problems. Welcome to mernetwork, always nice to have more men! If you have time you should post in the introduction space, and also post a review of your tail. You may be able to take it in to fit better, and repainting is always an option! I know how that goes...Quote:

leeloo you look so cute. leeloo always reminds me of the narwhale from the futurama movie lol <3
Uh hi, first post here. I remember looking for a mermaid forum a couple of years ago and not being able to find one. As soon as I found this place I became so happy that there was a forum.
When I was about 9 I made my first mermaid tail.

A few years later, I made a new tail.

Since then I have decided to start my own little mermaid series on youtube. I have made tails for my 2 friends and am about to make a third for my other friend.
Since my second tail, I made a third which failed, because if some bad measurements. After I fixed those, I made 2 more tails. A grey one and a pink one.

I really want to make a neoprene tail but that is going to be kind of expensive. I have to admit I am a "mermaid nerd" I guess xD. I have a journal I've been writing for 3 years now, its all about mermaids and what tails I make. I even drew little graves for my fish that have died. :( My family doesn't understand why I'm obsessed with mermaids and love the ocean.
I have lots of videos of me swimming in my tails, on youtube. MermaidRaven, I love your tails and I am subscribed to you on youtube. So yea,...lol
^ That last one is such a pretty fabric tail! BTW MermaidParties can make you a neoprene tail for $50.. all you have to do is paint it ;)
Really? I was thinking of going with white. Is there shipping charges? And she needs all of the measurements and stuff right? Oh, and what about the monofin?
So adorable! welcome to the forum!
Thanks! :D
Yup! I am getting a white neoprene tail to paint on from her soon! The shipping is free, yes to the measurements and I am not sure about the monofin but you can always contact her here
See I would but unfortunetly I don't have a facebook.
you can email them at Mermaidparties@gmail.com

Thankfully I found a tailor locally that will have it restitched and Aqua-Sealed for my by Thursday! I will swim on over to the Introduction page soon! I probably won't post a review on my tail..*cough cough* Mertailor problems...all the ones everyone has had! *cough cough* What can you do?
Thanks Raina! I actually hadn't seen that episode of Futurama before. I got the name from the movie The Fifth Element, I love that movie. I'm trying to think of a better mermaid name but can't decide. I also had a similar problem with my tail as well, mine also came a bit too big. It is too loose around the waist and hips. I need to find a good tailor around here to take it in. I want to repaint my tail also.
leeloo and I have formed a bond over our Mertailor issues...thankfully I have someone that I can talk to that understands completely what I have gone through!
yeah, it's too bad so many people are having issues but hopefully since it's not too small you can get it taken it Leeloo?
*really wishes people would write reviews but totally understands not wanting to in order to avoid backlash/drama* <3 no Worries Vyrel
Wowy! I love your tails Caitlin. The last one has amazing fabric!! @_@
And yea, writing a review can be very helpful to other people, you should consider taking the time to do it.
Especially if it's something like wrong sizing or something of that nature.
It's useful information that can help someone else decide whether or not to get the same tail. Not to
mention it helps show the credibility of the tail-maker.
If you guys are unhappy with your tails you should certainly contact the Mertailor and at least see if
he will offter to fix them for you. If not, maybe you should include that in your review xD
Thanks :) Oh, and here's my grey tail.
http://i1107.photobucket.com/albums/..._/IMG_0222.jpg
I love that snake-skin looking fabric~
It really gives it a very awesome look!
Great work :')
I am saving up posts so I can post a review....I do not think I will be sending my tail back to Eric...and pay for shipping and such...AGAIN....small fixes! I love that black and white tail! I am trying to design a jellyfish type tail...since they are my favorite animals!
Mine came to big in the waist too. @Vyrel! when/if you repaint your mertailor, if it works super well, tell me what you used. I'm having big surgery this summer so I'll be bored. but it's jaw surgery, so the rest of me is planning on maybe repainting this summer. :)

My tail! (I hope the pictures show up. lol!)
I made it out of fabric and painted it- its my first tail! ^_^ I am saving up for a Raven tail, though!
...Pink is my favourite colour. hehe!
ooh, its very nice, mizuko :D
hopefully soon, ill have one from mermaid parties, and ill post it up here :D
Oh, very nice and colorful tail :D
Krystal, how much paint did you use to repaint your tail? I want to repaint mine but I'm not sure how much paint to buy
I posted my tail review here:
http://mernetwork.com/index/showthre...5260#post25260
Mizuko, that is by far one of my fave tails! :D
Cute tails!
I am shopping around local art suppliers...i pick up my tail tomorrow...it will actually fit me now! YAY
Leelo---- I only used the 4 oz bottles and used equal amounts of 4 colors (pink purple green and yellow) I also had enough to paint an whole other tail with the extra green, yellow, and additional blue I had.
4 oz bottles are perfect and all you need to repaint!
Also it only took me one coat on the body, but about 3 coats on the fluke.
LindseyLu----AWESOME fluke. I love your paint job!
