I love watching everyone's pictures and u boxing videos on the fin folk tails thread, but I haven't found anything like that for mertailor tails, just review pages, so when it gets here I'll post on here I guess!! :)

I have kind of an unboxing video for my tail, but it's on my computer at the moment, and I'm in the middle of a Netflix binge lol

I love the purple on your tail Labyrinth! :>
How do you like the monofin?
That's so cool!
thanks! the monofin is nice, it's a lot easier to use than my magictail which would just drag along behind me, but it's still heavy under the water and was a bit of a pain, especially if I stopped for even a second. I sunk like a rock! the propulsion is nice, definitely not as good as a regular monofin but it's pretty good.

Intriguing; I wonder if that is a normal problem for those types of monofins. In any case, you look beautiful in your tail and it is a very appropriate design for your moniker! :mermaid kiss:
thank you!

So here is my tail. *screams of horror*
(Insert sponge Bob episode where he thinks he is ugly and in a movie theatre) I made it in a jiff. So its one of those tails thats a tester so i dont care if it gets banged up. Im pretty happy with the measurements which left a few wrinkles but meh.. i can barely fit my ass into it haha
I wanna take it out so bad. Also, sorry for da mess mon'. Haha im trying to figure out top options, but so far my tops have been a flop.

youtube him, its there
Nevertheless, it has a natural dolphinesque quality (especially in the fluke) which I find appealing. I also find your choice of top appealing; the scene I imagine is you at a graduation party getting a beverage poured over your head and then...YOUR SECRET'S OUT! :cheerleader: :mermaid kiss:
Haha!! Thanks! That was a shirt my homeroom teacher made us! He was retiring the same year as my graduation!
That mahina is massive! I didnt have enough neoprene and had to expand it with scraps! I hope it swims well. Thanks!
Si ce posting this, and many of my other sad rants ive learnes to be proud of my work!

The two fabric tails I own. The first one is my newer of the two from Fin Fun, the other one is from another creater which the name slips my mind at the moment. I've only taken the second one for a couple swims in a friends pool, have yet to try the new one out in the water yet.
The fluke tightness of the first one gives it the look of an actual porpoise!
neoprene/latex with mahina merfin for the fluke. Not perfect, but will do until my silicone tail arrives. :)Attachment 30574
oh wow that looks really good!
Did you use the mesh imprint technique? You did a nice job:)
Mernation gave me permission to share my sketch!

Chris, that is very impressive, especially for a homemade tail! :mermaid kiss:
Raayvhen, that tail design is lovely and has an intriguing fluke, considering both its size and the patterns thereupon! :mermaid kiss:

I quite like that fluke, MermaidAine, and the tail-trim; it feels like it's a hobble skirt turning into a mermaid tail! :mermaid kiss:
Thank you Mermaid Michelle. :)

Oh I love the raised lines on your tail fluke Anceos!
Anceos, I love the last picture!!
Stunning!!! I remember when you first started! How far you've come!
I love your top in the last photo...did you make that as well?
Thanks a lot... Well i like a lot the design of my first silicone tail, only problem is that it's so heavy that i can't stand the fluke up in the air but in water it's a pleasure... That's why i'm making a second one... And yes i made the top for this photo shooting... ;) latex parts glued on fabric... More pictures will come soon as i'm waiting for the photographer to Finish editing them... ;)
WOW anceos those tails are beautiful!! I love the fluke shape you went wirh
Anceos that silicone tail is outstanding! You look really good in them too!;)
very nice Anceos!
It's a learning process for sure! I used a metal mesh imprint on my latex.. and it was messy and a huge pain in the fluke. I understand so much more about construction issues. Although it turned out well, I'm also sure I will never do it this way again! (anyway, I've got a tail-maker working on a silicone one now)
