I just got back from a weekend trip to Vortex Springs. I had so much fun! So far it was the most fun time I have had in my tail yet! A lot of little kids thought I was a real mermaid and one little girl touched my fluke. Equal amounts of boys and girls said they wanted a tail too. Last night when it was starting to get dark I took the preacher's little daughter with me because she wanted to swim with me while I was wearing my tail. When we went to the dock there was a crowd of people already on the dock trying to look for a big fish someone saw while paddle boarding. When I got in the water with my tail they were curious about how fast I could swim and they told me to show them how fast I could go, so I swam off as fast as I could and while it didn't feel fast to me they said I was pretty fast. The preacher's daughter now wants a mermaid tail and I will have to look into a good monofin for her. I don't know if I she should get a fin fun monofin or what but that is what I am about to research. Anyways the water was super cold but totally worth it. I had so much fun swimming down to the fish and swimming in a school of brim. My pictures are not that great. I think my boyfriend isn't very thrilled to take mermaid photos for me. He didn't really tell me when he was taking pictures or give me many instructions when I asked him to. *Sigh* I might need to find a new photographer. So yeah I am not smiling in the photos because I didn't know what was going on.

My expressions are pretty stupid, but I had lots of fun. This was my first time in a spring!

I brought a throw away underwater camera too, but it is an old camera. I hope the photos we took with it will still be good. I had the girls I was with take the underwater shots and not my boyfriend. I love mermaiding this trip really made me love it so so so much more! Everyone was friendly and the water was just so beautiful. It is bittersweet being back home.
