It was an older gentleman. I was a little dumbfounded so I think I stammered out something about people typically doing it because of a deep love for the sea and swimming so its still special even there were more people doing it. Later I had the thought that Im wearing a little finfun that says mermaid on it and youre wearing goggles, what was your first clue. Honestly after saying something awkwardly I waited for him to stop talking so I could finish my practice and leave. Besides even if it did magically get 'more popular' who cares? Id love to see the local pool overtaken by mers.

The same thing happened to me when I first bought a tail. Except that I'm in my 40s! I just close the door if I'm doing mermaid things in my room.:lol:
