A report that some school-people made from me (black tail), Kitty (qua tail) and Celine (dark blue tail) last month ;) The bottom of that dive pool is at 5 meters ;)
oh my gosh that video is toooooo cute!
Thanks :$
OMG! You made that tail yourself? Just gorgeous. I'm gathering the materials i need to make a silicone tail and I don't want to mess up because the stuff is so expensive. We definitely gotta talk girl!:D
Fenicia, you girls look great in the water, I'm so jealous.
Thanks telzey.amberdon :$
You look gorgeous Raina! Who is that you're with?
This is a local model who is a friend of mine. She helped me with one of my biggest mermaid gigs this past summer, so as a thank-you we did a photoshoot with her as a mermaid. She has some of her own photos of just her too. It had to be photoshopped a bit because she is MUCH smaller than I am and the tail didn't fit. but she looks great
I love that last picture..you both look so feminine, but strong. It's amazing. And Raina, you are soooooo photogenic. I love that you always look so at ease.
thank-you, to be honest I don't feel like these were my strongest photos. The girl is an extremely well known model so I was a little intimidated, also as you can see I've got a lot of accessories going on and she didn't haha but I didn't feel like I could strip down the way she did. In photos that are just me I was distracted watching my mertender help her get the tail on hahahahahah so I wasn't even cluing into my face XD
I just used my underwater camera for the first time (or rather, my sister used it while I swam around). Most of the photos came out looking doofy because I couldn't open my eyes well (the water is SUPER chlorinated) and couldn't orient myself to the camera. I also have to find a better way to control my buoyancy when I don't have my weight belt with me. ;-P

I also took some video to try to see how I'm moving. I changed how I swim throughout, trying to improve (keep in mind that I "taught" myself the dolphin kick). I think I'm doing better...

Except for the first photo, I took all of these with my phone's camera, (sorry for the fuzzyness) right before I headed off to my Graduation Ceremony from high school.Attachment 7877Attachment 7878Attachment 7879Attachment 7880Attachment 7876
You remind me so much of Aquamarine, Shivice! :-)
Thalassa...loved your pictures, you have a beautiful smile and even though your eyes weren't open it was pretty sweet looking. Kinda like you were looking off in the distance for that special mer-person lol.
I actually am having a dry photoshoot again this saturday with some props and things. He is going to do some just with black and white back grounds but going to a green to "deposit" me back into the sea. lol I may also put up some other pics of me that I like too. Its a whole portfolio shoot (half will be mermaid/ half will be regular modeling pictures)
You look so cute in those pictures Thalassa! And your tail is super pretty too :)
Thalassa.. im glad to hear the belt is working for you! How's it holding up?
Would you mind if i posted a picture of you on my fb wearing it?and possibly My etsy also?
Nerine, it's doing pretty well, I'm a little worried because the belt seems to be pulling away from the shells in a lot of places. I'm not sure how bad that'll get. ;-P Right now it's just the sides, I'll let you know if it gets worse. I love being able to stay underwater rather than pop to the surface like I normally do. XD
Feel free to post pictures, you can look on my facebook for more (but a lot of them don't have me wearing the belt, because it made it harder for my mertender to carry me).
ok you can send it to me for fixing or dothe folowing...
Dry it out for a full day..
Get E6000 glue.
apply under the areas pulling away.
I was afraid that would happen.. I used a new method to make yours. It seems the silicone glue doesnt like the belting material.
The E6000 should fix it. If your not confiedent... ship to me and Ill cover the return shipping
Thanks for the advice! I'll try the E6000 and let you know how it works.
k.. make sure to let the glue set a full 24hr before swimming with it
your not heavy Thalassa, i just need to work out a little bit more
Mermaid Ama did her first gig and we were able to get some cool photos!

Love them Raina :D The fourth picture is really cool, the way the angle was put and made the tail look so awesome. The first one is a perfect sister bonding moment!
Beautiful and artistic photography Celine, love it!

Wow! Impressive!
Beautiful, Raina! And don't know how many times i've said this, but i LOVE the long hair on you :)
just a hair extension, probably one of the last uses of it too. I've tried to take good care of it but the thing is falling apart.
Wow Raina. That's so cool you got your sister into mermaiding too ! You both look gorgeous ! I have 3 sisters....that would be so cool if I got all of them in tails too for a sister shoot ;) And I love your make-up
thanks I did all the makeup :D
