Like blaze seriously I just showed Sean and his mouth dropped lol. I want a print for my mermaid inspiration wall
Arion and Blaze, your pictures look amazing! And Jessica Pearl, your video was great too!
Maressa, I think I recognize that fish: https://www.flickr.com/photos/az84/12036413195/ My husband took this shot at Seattle Aquarium. I'm pretty sure it's the same dang fish, the background looks exactly the same too (rotating LCD info screen). It's actually a fully grown antenna lionfish or broadbarred firefish (Pterois antennata), not a baby volitans lionfish. The antenna lionfish is actually my favorite one, it's so gorgeous! I really want to get one!
Post swim breakfast! :D

Blaze you look fab in your tail ! And dat hair WOW ! I was wondering about that cuz it looked like it had a V front in one of the update pics ! That's cool but I can see what you mean about how it might gape a bit at the back - maybe if there's a V it should be a bit tighter around the waist ? But looks incredible all the same ! Xx
I'm now hesitating because I said earlier - after finding out that my tail was longer than planned - that I would cut the front a little to make a V shape in order to avoid some wrinkles and the unfamous muffin top. But now, if you say that it might gape a bit at the back while swimming, it might not be worth it... I wonder if I should talk about this matter to the twins. Maybe there is a compromise that can be done.
Heehee, I'm glad you like them! I'm *thrilled* with what we got since it was my first time in the tail and his first time trying to shoot a mermaid lol!
Here is another pic he posted last night that I really love

Blaze my tail is skin tight, I mean I find it hard to get on and off it's that tight. And in certain swimming situations it'll still gape at the back. I wouldnt sweat that too much. it looks amazing. I am seriously still in awe of those photos. They would make awesome book covers.
Does anyone else have a problem getting their tail over their butt? I wanted mine waist high but I can't even get it that far so I get that muffin top you are talking about Arion. And I also can't get it high enough at the back so it barely covers my bikini bottoms. I thought this was because of the ankle wrinkles using up the inches but I managed to get them out the last time I wore it. Any tips? I was thinking perhaps it could also be because of my bikini bottoms, or also because I sent two sets of measurements through and they might have used the first.
And blaze, Amelia and I have our tails skin tight and they still gape when we are going very fast. But you can hardly notice unless you are looking for it. We have these awesome net-fabric belts that hide it well. And I really like the look of your V at the front. It looks very classic mermaid-ish.
The first time I wore my tail was last Thursday and my mermaid friend Claire and her friend Alexia helped me getting my tail over my butt for the photoshoot. The second time was this morning at the beach and I did it all by myself. It wasn't easy but I was proud because I was alone. I used plain water from a bottle and sex lube. It worked out great but near the end, I had to use a small towel to grab the top and pull it gently over my big butt because my hands were slippery thanks to the lube. That's the trickiest part. Then, I made sure to get all the wrinkles from the ankles to the waist. The whole thing took me 15 min.
I wore a thong because silicone stick better to the skin but not the swimsuit. I wasn't worried of my big butt being watched at the beach because I was alone at this time. I wanted to swim at sunrise so time was around 7 am and nobody was there! I'm so gonna do it again tomorrow! :D

Mine also is skin tight and I also felt slightly a gap behind my back while swimming fast thanks to my competitor monofin. I can't really tell until I make an underwater video but I didn't bother much because there will always be a gap no matter what you do and it's normal. I sent two set of measurements to the twins and they did a great job with them! If even Theobromine has a gap, there is nothing that we can do.
Yeah I had a feeling it was to do with how crazy fast you can go with the monofins. And yes I was thinking that wearing a thong would make it easier to get the tail over my bum but I am very self conscious about my body. And the poses you need to get into to get the tail on would be even more unflattering in a g-sting I expect. I don't even own one!
oh come on... you're a beautiful woman and besides that, a beautiful mermaid! While I understand you being self-conscious about your body, there is nothing to be ashamed off though. I was aware of how ridiculous I would seem while struggling into my tail but in my honest opinion, the beauty of the result makes up for it :)
omg Arion stop making me jealous of your posterior.
I had the same problem with my tail, being unable to get it up over my butt, but I found a combination of spray bottle full of water + some lube does the trick. That and patience. Now I can get my tail on in 5-10 minutes instead of the 30 it took me the first time! I can't roll mine down due to not wanting to damage the pectoral fins I have. :)
Oh and re: the gap in the back, that's just going to happen. The gap is worse when you have a dorsal fin (which is why I don't have one) and the fact that the tail isn't completely adhered to our body. I get a slight gap too so I don't think it's something that can be avoided, but it's not very noticeable (I think)!
Dorsals may not always cause a gap, I'm just noting that I've observed a more noticeable gap on tails that do have a dorsal vs. those that don't. But like you said, it probably depends on the shape and position of the dorsal! Dorsals towards the waist probably have a tendency to gap more than those further towards the feet.
Awww thanks Arion! The muffin top is pretty horrific though! I am determined to cover it up! Will keep practicing. Can get the tail on in about 10 or 15 mins but will keep practicing to try and get it to sit higher. Hopefully it can :)
Please, understand that even if you get your tail higher, the muffin top is likely to still be there. It's normal because it's skin tight and your position is up while sitting so you can't do much about it but there are some tricks to hide it. Some examples with my mer-sister Syrena from Singapore :

These are still AWESOME pictures but it's up to you how to deal with the muffin top. Syrena doesn't seem to be self-conscious about it though but everyone is different. As for me, if I can't cut the waist line to a V shape to reduce the wrinkles, I will accept my tail the way it is because I'm in love with it anyway. I'm thinking about getting for myself a pretty white scarf as a merman belt. It will go very well with my colors :)
