Thank you! Yeah. I guess it does look nice. Haven't tried it in the water yet. Maybe I'll ask my friend to take a few pics to see what it's like underwater. Super excited !! Though I am jealous of all the silicone tails. So cool!

My first tail! It's from Growatail and I'm really happy with it. After my first swim I learned a lot about the tail and spandex XD Thinking hard about making a neoprene tail to go with the monofin. Love the idea of one day owning a silicone tail.
Wow; you have a model physique and a professional photographer, so I imagine you would have a stunning portfolio in a silicone tail, but you look great in this one too! The expression on your face makes it look like you're about to be shipped in the box....:help:
>/////< ohgeeze!! Haha Thank you!! I would loooooove to model a silicone tail one day!!! Not many available in Denver though, unless I go bug the Aquarium for one of their mernation tails XD
I have that exact same chest! It is such a great prop!
I did a little mod to my first tail today: added fins and two layers of flouncy fin on the fluke. Can't wait to see how this looks in the water!

WOW! That fabric. Is it painted?
No, it's actually commercial spandex. Isn't it cool?!
that fabric is simply great *w* I'm sure this tail will look amazing in water!
Thanks!
It should be extremely flowy; it looks like a Princess dress! :mermaid kiss:
Mermaid Galene that's so pretty!
That tail is absolutely beautiful!
Thanks, Iona and Muir. I'm thinking of cutting the fluke extension down to about 4 inches, though. As is, it creates a terrible amount of drag in the water. Or I could just keep it primarily for land gigs. I plan to make two new tails soon.
Thanks! I'm thinking I shouldn't hack it up. I know I'll be making new tails, and this one can just be my "easy swimming only" and dry land gig tail.
it's perfect for an aquarium or tank gig ;)
my first 3D-tail is almost done, but I have a sinking feeling (lol pun) it will drag me to the bottom like a stone and be completely impossible to move in.
which is a shame, considered how nice it looks and how long I've worked on it.
will test it out next week or so.
I look forward to seeing the results, and I recommend the shallow end!
I look forward to pics, Caltuna!
And yep, Michelle, when I swam in that flouncy tail I didn't go beyond where I could stand up. I'll build up endurance with monofin alone before I start the deep end stuff.
That is a very sound idea; I swam into the deep end my first time in a monofin, but that is only because I lifeguarded for nine years (and even I took a risk!)
