First Tail "Prototype" make with vinyl. Has a leathery look to it but did not stretch much so do to wear and tear, it is now retired.

Second Tail "Practice" made with PUL fabric. It's the same material cloth baby diaper covers are made from and durable. It's getting some wear and tear mainly due to the fact that most pools I've been in the past year are under 5 feet deep :-/ Also it does tend to get waterlogged if I am in the water for a loooooooong time.

I'm getting married in late June so I have not had the chance yet to get started on my third tail. I want to do a sequins tail (I love Hannah's tails!). I have majority of what I'll need for it, just not the time! I haven't made a rendering yet of how I want it to look but I have some ideas with the colors that I bought.

It's a baby tail I crocheted, though not for swimming. Also I haven't worked on these in a while but I want to have some on Etsy when I have enough in stock.

What are those sequins called? Or where did you find them at? :D
I got the from this website: http://www.ccartwright.com/shells.html they also have different shapes. They kinda look like what Hannah Fraser used but smaller.
That's really awesome :D I saw how they looked like actual scales and I think they are gorgeous :3 I cant wait to see what your 3rd tail looks like finished and congrats on the wedding :D
Loving everybody's tails:D
Thank you Vinobia! I can't wait either, especially since I'm currently stuck using my practice tail. Since this is going to take a lot of hours to do I really want to make sure my measurements are correct. I noticed as soon as I started using the two tails I made, I lost inches around my waist and hips with in weeks of making them! Which is pretty cool, but I also want to enjoy my tails for a long while and not have to retire them or do major alterations on them as soon as I finish them. I made my second tail is smaller around my torso AND it's now loose on me (feels more like mermaid pajamas!).
Everyone's tails look great! I love seeing the variety that's out there!
XD Instead of Waist Training Corsets they could be Waist Training Tails LOL But I think that's wonderful because that proves that Mermaiding is healthy on loosing weight :3 I hear you on the fact that you dont want to make a new tail every time you loose weight but I really think that it's awesome :D
Maybe they should add mermaiding in the training programs of people who like to lose weight ;)
I love the tails that have been added so far, so many different designs and colors! :D
^My tail from mermaid parties, if it loaded. If not, I will try agan later
It makes sense, especially if your tail is made for swimming. The dolphin kick is such a great workout!
Here's a better shot of Diablo on the beach....

The Diablo tail looks really cool...So you didn't use any latex? This is a bit off topic but... Does the paint chip easily? What kind of paint did you use? I ask because I've been thinking of making a painted neoprene tail too.
My tail will be here thursday so Hold on for photo bombardment on friday
My mer-friends and I are getting fabric tails from Mermaid Parties! They will be fabric replicas of the tails from h2o! I'm so excited :D
