I can't wait to see it! I ordered a teal tail too (without the fin upgrade) and I got the email it shipped! The tracking number wasn't in the email but in the link when you press the "view your order" button in the email. It's been 4 days and the USPS site still says a shipping label has been created but that they are still awaiting the item! We are going on holiday at the end of the month (somewhere tropical) and it was my dream to take my Mythic Tail with me! I truly, truly, truly hope it makes it here in time!!!!!!!!Quote:

Alea, I have always considered getting a Mythic tail ever since they announced them! I'm planning on waiting until at least the second batch in February releases as they'll have some time to iron out a few of the kinks and maybe a purple option will be available. I hope you get that key because it's gorgeous. Love the colors of the teal. I doubt the spaces could be fixed; the scales are a fixed point on a stretching material. Even with adding more scales to cover, once its rebound to its unused shape, the scales won't fit neatly with each other.
Also another point, do the scales scratch each other? They have to be smooth to the touch, but I wonder what will happen with the constant friction/rubbing between the scales.
