That is an AWESOME tail, Soulstrifer! I really love the colours, and that's a neat fluke! I can't see the pic it's based off of, but I looked it up and that is a super-cool fish :)

Lionfish -my personal favorite but will be my third or fourth tail I make- Bass and now this one and I have a Mandarin fish and a Black striped Angel fish as well as a Koi requested designs ><

Nice use of patterns and color here, Soulstrifer. The tail is NOT fail; that reference you have there and your thumbnail makes sense, has clearly conveyed info and gets the feel across. That's really what matters. If this is produced this will be a very unique, very impressive tail.
So many lovely designs on here. Thought I'd add one based off the Glaucus atlanticus (aka blue sea slug), Its only half the fluke and part of the tail as I can't draw symetricalle XP. Hopefully I can make this out of neoprene as it would be a smooth design ^_^. Attachment 14555 I apologise for the colouring as they were the only similar colours I had at the time, I swear I can paint better XP. though I am contemplating fewer tentacle apendages things.
I love those sea slugs! And your design is beautiful. :) it really captures them tentacle things. XD (I wanted to try my hand at designing said sea slug tail as well in the near future....
It kind of reminds me of a more shaped version of the finfolk betta tail. :) I bet it'd move so pretty in the water.
Meemerdd - ^_^ thanks, It's not the first or last sketch I've done of it, but the only one I had on the computer XP. Yesh do so...mini army of Mer-slug things lol.
Anahita - A little bit, just less tentacle bits, though not a fan of how their beta tails goes right up the sides. I hope it would move well in the water >_<

So just wondering if there are any artist types out there that might consider drawing (on paper or computer) out the design I am dreaming? It's based on a fish but I'm really hoping to see how it translates to a tail.

Only the bottom half of the fish obviously. I have a thing for 'fire' so any tweaks to make it more 'flame-y' would be great!
I plan on ordering from Merbella's; their 'basic' tail with competitor upgrade and most likely a glitter coat on top. :D

But the black at the fluke looks a bit funky to me.
I wanted it to contrast with the flame...I didn't do any texturizing or anything, just a sketch on my lunchbreak. And I think if I were to think about it more, I would make the side fins part of the body design.
It would have been cool to make it like a betta fluke, och a more stripey kind, so it would look like flames! :eek:

Spots! I mentioned that I was using the red drum/channel bass/redfish as the inspiration for my Finfolk tail. I have seen red drum with one black spot on their tail and I have seen tails with two or three.
