Finfolk Productions: anyone ordered a tail from them? I just did!

So since Finfolk already has thick scales, I guess the extra individual scale makes it even harder than normal to get on. Multiplied by the large hip fins. Back from my nap and attempting again after dinner!

That's currently my concerns. I want to have my second tail for Summer so I decided to place my order this coming week. Eck, if necessary, I might even ask for a rush order if I have to because it's indeed a long time to wait. I guess I'm just an impatient fish :doh:

I'm impatient too haha, I feel you!
I definitely want mine by that time period of late spring early summer (hopefully earlier if everything goes well on their end). The earlier the better they said, I'm just way too excited to wait that long haha.
A real test of patience for me :P

Mine also is skin tight and I also felt slightly a gap behind my back while swimming fast thanks to my competitor monofin. I can't really tell until I make an underwater video but I didn't bother much because there will always be a gap no matter what you do and it's normal. I sent two set of measurements to the twins and they did a great job with them! If even Theobromine has a gap, there is nothing that we can do.

So when u order it, u just give them your exact measurements? I'm afraid I'll give them my measurements and then it'll be like 1/8 of an inch too big and I'll have to wear a belt or something. If I order a tail I want it to fit tight like you said yours is! U said you gave them two measurements?

Rebekah two measurements is always suggested, that way if they end up different the makers can figure it out and how the measurements actually are

Oh okay! Thanks for the tip! I doubt I'll get a silicone tail anytime soon but I'd love to one day!

Yup. That's what I did. I sent two measurements for them from two different templates. Mertailor's and theirs. It worked really well. Abby and Bryn are goddesses. I don't think anyone ever complained about a size problem.

Mine is too big around the hips, but I haven't officially "complained" about it. The waist is super tight so it doesn't gape, and it means I can get it on in a minute ;)

I need to send mine back to the twins to have it taken in as well!

Just a heads up- While they were very friendly and patient about the refit- it did take about 5-6 months. Granted, that was during their summer rush schedule, so maybe the off season might be quicker.

Mine got pushed back until after they move. So it looks like I'll be hitting the 8 month mark if all goes well.
