^^ hello! I figured I should go with the flow and post my own fabric tail. I had a previous tail that was white with orange accents for a koi theme, but I'm liking this odd blue/green and gold blend that ended up much brighter than I expected. I have larger pectoral fins because being a bit larger myself I like having something that brings my size in context.
I may have missed most of summer, but I'm covered for my Halloween at least!

JeweledRose, Gorgeous color combo! BTW, maybe you should come up with a list of tail styling tips for different body shapes. Reading your post, I see I subconsciously try to balance out my tummy with pectorals and dorsals too lol.

I've just purchased a silicone fluke for a costume for Halloween . The top is going to be textured and the bottom flat. Originally I wanted to attach it to a piece of long fabric but I think it would look more realistic with some type of long flat silicone piece about 4 feet maybe with scales and then I would attach it to a piece of fabric around my waste. The character I have in mind is Poseidon half man and half fish. Any suggestions ? Thanks a bunch where can I purchase something before Halloween

I made my tail with spandex. The scaled fabric comes from Etsy, the pink one and the one used for fins comes from a fabric store in my city.
Finally got in the water! Woohoo!

Sure is! It has tiny little holographic spots that look almost like snake scales in person. I thought it was perfect for my darkly inclined Mersona!

Kitson that is truly magnificent. The stripe pattern near the opening reminds me of a leopard shark, and fins fit it to a tee. As for the fluke, absolutely awesome. Somehow it reminds me of a butterfly, but still captures an aquatic nature very well. You look amazing in that tail.
